Having seen many beaches from all over the world (especially living in Florida), I have to admit - this is the best! The color of the water is picture perfect - as if it's a painting. The pink colored beach is just awesome. Getting here is not so easy - a bit treacherous roads - but well worth it.

apparently one of the worlds best beaches. But was overcrowded and loads of deck chairs everywhere. If you like crowds, lots of parked cars and people doing selfies then this is the beach for you. If you prefer something more wild theres much better secret beaches just along the coast

Definitely worth a visit, with its beautiful beach low waters, so you can walk around in the sun with your feet in the water. I would love to go back some time.

This beach is like a paradise. White sand with a hint of red garnet. Warm and clear water and no rocks at all. Ehen you go, try to go when the wind is from land. It is better and prepare that you want to stay there a week :)

Elafonissi Beach was incredibly beautiful. It takes a while to get here through the mountains, but once you arrive, it is breathtaking. We took a bus from Chania town to get here and it made for a very windy and relaxing day! The mountains on one side, are in stark contrast to the beautiful blue waters and white beaches on... More

The access to the beach is a bit difficult but it's worth the ride! The serpent road is astonishing. The beach itself is huge and very beautiful. There is not much to do on the beach but we were before the season so maybe that's why we had that impression. But it still was worth our time. Highly recommended.

Although Elafonissi is mentioned in every touristic guide as a must-see, I do not find it as spectacular as advertised. I must admit there is an interesting pink(ish) tone to its sand and the shallow waters are really still and clear, but other than these particularities, it's just a beach. To be honest, I enjoyed the driving from Chania just... More
