A must visit temple if one is travelling to Jim Corbett to seek blessings of Garjia Mata. One of the oldest temple of Ram Nagar area. Many people comes here to worship on a regular basis. Ample parking space is available near temple and lots of shops lead to the main temple.

I have been Garjiya Temple 3-4 Times and found it is one of the full of Devine energy temple Among other temples in Uttrakhand.
Location is the main factor it is just stand middle of the River Kosi on a Rock which looks like a small 🗻Mountain itself. I am blessed to be there whenever I visited.
During Navratras and other Religious months like Shravan there will huge crowd from entire country even some of international visitor too. Temple located on such a Beautiful location which attracts other tourists too rather than devotees.
Sharp stairs are there to reach on the top and while going upstairs people believes that the Grass you can touch here and there if you make a wish and knot this grass layers, your wish will be fulfilled for sure and you have open that knot when it gets fulfilled.
It is Just 12 Kms from Ramnagar and 2Kms from Dhikuli (Where all the Good Hotels are) Dhikuli is the village where all the good hotels are.
Avoid Sweeming during rainy season it can be huge dangerous for you even it can cost your life too. So be away from river during rainy season otherwise you can enjoy a dip of cold water in other Season.
Mine was amazing experience hope your will be too.

HI friends recently been to Corbett Park and had visited to Garjia temple also. Basically it is a holy place having temple of Maa Garjia Devi. Temple is situated in a small rock/mountain having approx. 50-60 steep stairs. Just below the temple there is a small 'Shiv cave' also. The area around temple is very pleasant having kosi river (not deep). One can enjoy a lot there in water. Overall its a gud place to visit. Gud fun for children.

It was 1st May, 2018. We reached Ramnagar from Moradabad at noon & stayed in KMVN TRH. We were free in the afternoon. We had booked two jeep safari in Corbett NP the next day morning. So we decided to visit the Garjia Devi Temple or Girija Devi Temple. This is a shakti temple, very famous & is regarded as very sacred to the locals. The deity is Girija , the daughter of the Himalayas, Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. We hired an auto. The shrine is situated in the village, Garjia, 12km from KMVN TRH on the Dhikala Road. in the outskirts of the Corbett NP in Kumaon hills of UK, India. One can reach there by train at Ramnagar & by an auto to reach at the place.
The location is very strange, on the top of a huge rock on the Kosi River tributary. It was learnt that the rock was carried during a flood & was struck there. The auto took a right turn from the main road & stopped at the parking lot. We walked along a bridge on the river Kosi & reached at the gate, a narrow path to the top . The stairs were very steep & congested. I alone climbed the stairs to get a darshan of the Goddess Girija. There were idols of Devi Saraswati & Lord Ganesha. The view of the surrounding is very charming. It was late afternoon, a cool breeze was prevailing, the view of the river, the crystal clear water, the jungle of sal trees in a row on the bank & the hills far off. A lot of shops were doing business, selling puja materials, shops for cold drinks/ snacks. People were taking bath in the river. Many were just sitting idle on the boulders near water. Many cows were taking rest on the bridge.
We also found the idol of Lord Shiva in a small temple at the base of the rock.It was a pleasant trip at this place. The nearest hill station is Nainital 65 km & Ranikhet.

About 12 km from Ramnagar.
Own conveyance is good option.
Enjoy the little hill ride.
Chances to see deer on road side.
Parking no issue.
Ready to go for 100-125 steps to visit main temple.
View from top of bridge is good

Beautiful Temple on the top and surrounding area. Many pilgrims visit this every day for receiving the blessings of Divine mother. And enjoy to play with water in river. It needs time and good to go with friends.
