    Best excursion ever!
While staying in Playa del Carmen, we decided to visit cenotes. We did a quick search and stumbled upon the EcoPark. The pictures were so beautiful that we booked it on the spot. After a quick and inexpensive ride on a collectivo from downtown, we found ourselves in front of the park. As we walked along the road towards the entrance, the sound of the highway disappeared and we found ourselves in the jungle, listening to birds and watching iguanas cross the path. We got to the registration desk and signed in. The staff was friendly and accomodating and we were given an overview of what we would experience. After being given the necessary equipment (helmet, flotation vest and boots), we were greeted by Giovanni, our guide. We didn't know at the time how lucky we were to have him assigned to our group. Being the only two Montrealers and obviously non-hispanics in a group of ten, we thought we would be in for a long day of not being able to get the information given, as it had happened on many other excursions on prior trips. But Giovanni made sure to always come back to us after giving his information in spanish first, and repeating everything in excellent english. Throughout the day, he proved to be not only a knowledgeable guide, providing us with detailed geological and archeological information, but also a fantastic host. He knew when to slow down to let people catch up, and knew when to ask them to hurry up in order to be able to make sure we visited all 5 cenotes. He was joyful and playful the whole time, and it was obvious he loves his job, and is definitely a people person. If ever you visit the site, try to have him as your guide, your visit will be enhanced tenfold. Our booking included a meal, and what a meal it was. The Lol Ha bar is an open air dining room, and it offered a much needed respite after a few hours of crawling through caves and swimming in the cenotes. You find yourself sitting in the middle of the jungle, shaded from the sun, with a cool breeze coming in, and enjoying wonderful food. We went back to swim in the open air cenotes in the afternoon, and enjoyed ourselves so much that we were surprised when a staffer came running to tell us the park was closing :-) We highly recommend the Ecopark to anyone looking to experience something out of this world. You will visit sites that are tens of millions of years old, learn about their formation and also how those caves eventually become open air cenotes, as their ceiling collapses due to natural erosion. The site is gorgeous, the underground caves are breathtaking, the cenotes are amazing to visit, and the people are nice. Again, with a special mention for Giovanni, who is one of the best guides we've come accross, but also one of the nicest people we've met.
Dear romyb580! Thank you so much for your kind words and amazing feedback! We are beyond grateful for that! We are very happy you had an unforgettable experience in our beautiful Eco Park. Gio is one of our best Guides ;) Hope you can visit us again soon! Best,

Worth a visit and good value for Money
Visited this place on our own by local transport. There are five cenote's plus an underground one. You have to pay more for the underground one but it is worth every penny. Each pool is different and great to swim in. Our top tip would be to wear a long sleeved top as there are lots of mosquito

    Amazing tour!!
We did the magical waters tour (2.5 hours, all 5 cenotes but no cave tour) and it was amazing. You are only able to see the 5th cenote if you take a tour and it was by far our favorite, although the other 4 cenotes were great as well. The entire park was beautiful and all of the cenotes were unique and different from each other. During the tour we were able to spend time swimming and kayaking in the cenotes, while also learning a lot from our wonderful and friendly tour guide Saul. We did the first tour of the day at 10 am, which was great because the park was not crowded at all (and it did not seem crowded when we left at about 1 pm) and we also ended the tour at the perfect time to have lunch at the restaurant. We thought the food at the restaurant was great as well with very good service. I highly recommend the park, tour, and restaurant!

    Great Experience
Great experience from the time I arrived. The staff are friendly and provide with all the necessary information. While visiting the place encountering small groups of people enjoying the place no pushy tours on a schedule. The cenotes are different and one can enjoy them at your leisure along with the kayaks and hammocks. Unfortunately did not tour the underground cave on this trip but will return with a group in the future

Totally worth the combo guided tour
Amazing tour of 5 cenotes and the river underground. We were booked for 9am but they didn’t have anyone else at that time so they let us chill in a cenote alone for a bit and we joined a 10am tour. HIGHLY recommend going the combo tour as the underground river was absolutely magical. Every cenote was gorgeous but to get access to the 5th you have to be w a guide and it was the best with a place to jump in!

    Amazing underground river
Did the combo tour and it was incredible. Well worth the extra money to do the underground river, it was the highlight of the trip. The tour also visits cenote #5 which you cannot visit if you just tour the cenotes yourself. This cenote was the best and you even got to jump in from a 9' high rock face. Well worth spending the extra and doing the combo tour!!

My wife and I have been to Kantun Chi before and have done the full tour, which is well worth the time. This trip we were looking for a relaxing day int he jungle. We checked in, got our gear, and headed out on our own. We spent the day kayaking and relaxing by cenotes. When a tour group came to the cenote we were at we just moved to another one or found a hammock to relax in. It was perfect recharge day.

    Gorgeous family excursion!
The Mayans have inhabited the Yucatan peninsula for thousands of years. They believe that the series of hundreds of continuously eroding cenotes provided lifesaving properties and were the gateways to Xibalba, the Mayan underworld and afterlife. Kantun-Chi enabled us to take advantage of a private swimming and exploring tour of five exuberayting pools of enlightenment leading into one unbelievable underground river filled with additional cenotes, caves, and more stalactites and stalagmites than you can point an iPhone at. I highly recommend a private tour with Valentino. He guided us at the pace my family needed and provided us all the history we could hope for. Wear your swim gear and bring towels. You will be provided snorkeling gear and a locker ($200 MX refundable deposit), so you can bring change of clothes. You will always have an opportunity to set items on the side before entering a cenote. Only take what you can carry when you enter the underground river. You can hold a phone above water level as you are provided life jackets.

    Great for teens
We visited during spring break. Kind of went in blind and had no idea what to expect. We had an amazing time. It wasn’t busy at all. So beautiful. My only complaint was they told us we would have our own guide in the river. There was 9 of us in our group. They put us with a handful of other people that didn’t speak English. I felt bad for the guide bc he had to repeat himself in English after he did it in Spanish. It got to be kind of long bc of that. Our teenage kids absolutely loved the experience.

What an amazing experience! We waded through underground rivers, swam in cenotes and even took a 20 foot dive into the water. Our guide was amazing and lunch was good too. Highly recommend.

We did the 5 cenote tour including the guided cave exploration. I loved it! Our guide, Adrian, was knowledgeable, funny, and highly educated. The park itself is beautiful and well-designed. It has well built paths between cenotes, but they leave a few palm fronds to push aside, so you still feel like you’re in the jungle.

In the tour, to do the caving first then bop around the 5 cenotes. You only swim in the private/tour-only cenote, viewing the others fairly fast. The tour itself is only 3.5hr total, so we hung around the park after to spend time in another cenote.

Lunch was all right to good, depending on whom you ask.

This park was an oasis of calm compared to other cenotes visited. I recommend going early and spending the whole day there as there are 5 cenotes to explore and we a leisurely tasty lunch. Adrian our guide was knowledgeable and funny. We did the tour then after lunch we were free to explore. The facilities are really good and it felt like an outdoor spa. It warranted the extra cost of entry compared to other cenotes.

This excursion was one of the highlights of our trip and worth the price. Our tour guide, Raul, obviously loves his job, sharing geological, archeological, and historical information as he lead us through the stunning underground cave, beautiful jungle, and to a gorgeous cenote, only accessed with him. The other cenotes, open to everyone, were amazing, as well.
Lunch was included in the price of the tour and the food was so fresh and delicious. We sat by the Koi pond and enjoyed listening to the birds and watching the iguanas while we ate.
Do not pass up the citronella lotion offered at the start of the tour. I missed a few spots and ended up with some bug bites. Uncomfortable but still worth the trip.
My 14-year old grandson thought this was a fantastic experience. I recommend this tour for anyone!

Based on reviews, I was very excited. I was very underwhelmed. Thought there would be more to see, some fish, that it would be more colourful. Was very underwhelming, especially for the price. Did the 5 cenote tour. You can only actually swim in one. Wasn’t enough bikes for us, and were paired with a big group that spoke another language so was time consuming explaining everything in 2 languages.
