The Kadasiddeshwar Temple is a small 7th century Shiva temple built in the North Indian Nagara style. The only interesting things are the sculptures at the entrance to the sanctum sanctorum. The lintel has a slightly unusual design of Shiva and Parvati, flanked by two images of Brahma on either side.

Kadasiddeshwar Temple is a small and one of the less interesting temples in the temple complex.

Every temple in the complex is unique and worth visiting. Don't neglect any temple. Each has its distinct style. Visit early morning.

Of all the extant temples at Pattadakal, this is the smallest and most minor. However, it is also one of the earliest. Therefore, it makes a logical place to start. You can trace the evolution of Chalukya temple architecture from its earliest phase to its apogee.

The main thing we enjoyed here was the ornamental stone window screens. These were to prove a lasting feature of Indian religious architecture. They reminded us of the jalis found in Gujarati mosques.

The Kadasiddheshwara temple is based on Nagara style and is small in size. The temple hosts Lord Shiva and Parvathi. The temple is one of the first close to the entry of the group of monuments.
