We had a great time here. We walked all through the beach and swam a little bit. The sea was rough as a tropical storm had just passed, but it was enjoyable all the same

If you’re looking for a traditional tourist beach with lots of people, activities and the accompanying noise then this is the place for you.

We rented one of the tables with umbrellas right in front of all the action. There was parasailing, a banana boat and other water activities available. They were reasonably priced, especially if you compare the cost to a typical beach in Hawaii or Southern California.

You will have local vendors passing by every few minutes. We were offered massages, pearl necklaces, sea shells, silver rings and there was even a mariachi band.

Also, the restaurant workers do try to push their expensive items to tourists. I ordered one bottle of beer and our waiter vehemently insisted that I buy a bucket of 10 beers. He kept telling me it was cheap in USD as if that would convince me to buy. LOL

There is also a sizable market with local souvenirs, shirts and fruits. A nice place to hang out and browse.

As soon as you get off the bus, there is a platform you can walk to,and there are crocodiles ,and wood storks and bright pink Spoonbills. Amazing to see. Walking from the platform you can see some of the biggest Iguanas I've ever seen. There are of course wonderful market shops and look for the Mexican Indian Pole where they spiral down from 60 meters I believe it was. Take the ferry over to Ixtapa Island. All was an amazing visit for both my wife and myself. We were never bored, we went there three times.

lots of flea market shops, overpriced and they don"t barter at all.
beach is nice to walk on.
They have mexican male dancers on the ground and they also climb up a pole probably 60Ft. in the air they hang from ropes and do different positions very entertaining. We saw them perform around 1030-11 am. and in the afternoon.
there little crocodile area is nice with some very long crocodiles. Nice birds especially the Rose Spoonbill Heren birds.

Do not rush through Playa Linda to the water taxi. Playa Linda is just a gem of a place. The markets, the fresh oysters to the alligator viewing. I loved it all!

This stretch of beach is popular with tourists but still quiet on weekdays. There is a market selling the usual tourist tee shirts and souvenirs. There are a number of small restaurants right on the sand. Our visit coincided with a demonstration of Mexican pole flying ''Danza de los Voladores". Four men slowly spin themselves down from a high pole while suspended by a rope around their waists.

Took the bus from Ixtapa city (if you want to call it that) to Playa Linda and explored the area. Great wildlife and interesting shops. Great view of the bay. We went early in the morning (to avoid the afternoon sun/heat) and it was pretty quiet, but I could see that it was picking up, as we were leaving. Accessing a bus from the place was easy and dropped us off close to our hotel -- so much cheaper than a taxi and we got to experience the 'local' life.

This is a great place to visit for the day. The water is calmer. We went on a Saturday, so it was really busy with all the locals coming with their families.
There's also a coral reef within walking distance, if your are interested in snorkeling.
They have chairs, umbrellas, tables, etc. Also drinks and food are available.
