It is actually a gorge (open from top, not a cave). It has about 2 to 3 inches deep water flowing all the time. You need to wear slippers to enter and those are available on rent there for a nominal fee of Rs 10. There are some food joints. The place gets crowded during peak season. (I visited in May)

A thrilling walk through a narrow tunnel in ankle deep chilling waters is an experience of its own class. Just walk for 300 - 400 meters and you end up at a small natural water fall in somewhat open space. Take a swimsuit with you, as the temptation to bath under the fall is irresistible! The pebbles on the walk are throughout smooth barring few sharp stones. So people usually hire rubber slippers from the vendors all along the approach road, who in turn also keep a watch on your costly leather shoes while you enjoy the walk inside the cave. There are some food stalls inside the entrance gate, but food quality cannot be assured! We enjoyed fruit juice and sugarcane juice on the approach road outside the entrance gate. We recommend this attraction NOT To Be Missed while in Dehradun, and specifically when accompanied by kids!

It was a unique experience for us. We never visited any place before where we could hike through water in between hillocks. You can rent slippers from the entrance and easily enter into the waters.....don't try in barefoot as the stones below are quite rough. What I did not like about the place is that it gets a bit too crowded in the evenings. Making our way through the crowd we somehow went till the start of a waterfall, took some pics and returned. This is an activity which you can try out with your family easily as it is far from risky.....but if you have difficulty in walking then it is better for you to stay back. Also you can enjoy bathing in the water or the waterfall if you have ample time in your hand.

Pathetic place. Its just a trap place for tourists ,35 rs ticket per head and nothing special just walk down with your feet level running water. Very crowded place with no fun. Just avoid if you can. Atleast i was highly disappointed with the experience. Would not reccomend. Place only looks good in pictures.

If you are looking for some fun and adventure, then this is the place to go to in Dehradun. Ample parking. Entry ticket is just Rs. 35 per adult. Walking into the cave in knee deep water is quite a thrilling experience for which bathroom slippers are a must. The adventurous sort can even carry swimsuits. Slippers and lockers are available for nominal rent. Many small eateries serving Maggi, momos, beverages etc throng the area. Carry your own picnic hamper and spend a day at leisure.

The place may appear appealing in photos, but in reality, it is poorly maintained. Despite charging tickets, the management neglects cleanliness and safety. They seem more focused on making money than maintaining a hygienic environment. The toilets also have an unpleasant smell.

An absolute must visit when in Dehradun. It’s an amazing walk through the waters within a cave. Go early by 10am to avoid the crowd and go right up till the end to play in the waterfalls. Wear slippers (rental slippers available) / crocs and also carry a change of clothes in case you are planning to get wet and have fun. The water was just the perfect height for our 6 year old in May, however, can be higher and colder in our seasons. Public transport is hard to find, so go in your own vehicles if possible. Lots of places to eat

Fantastic, natural formation, a must visit for the entire family regardless of age.
Gets a bit crowded so be prepared unless you can go on a weekday.
Carry some slippers and wear shorts.
Depending on the season the water level varies from ankle to waist deep so check with the locals / hotel and be prepared.

Amazing place, where one has to wade thru water. The water level is only knee deep in the beginning - but shallows out as you walk further into the crevice between the rocks.
Best is to bring your own footwear such as floaters, beach sandals which are closed and not have to rent from the local shops. Bring you own food if you want to have a floating picnic in the water - as the local shops are too disgusting. Also, if you plan to get wet - get a change of clothes.
Overall the infrastructure is very poor, but the water made up for all that. Must visit to escape the intense heat. Best to get there in the morning, as the crowds get large later on.

Hi,
If you are in Dehradun, grab your shorts and go for a thrill through the waterways of the cave. The path is covered with the flowing water, very low level. You will the waterfalls inside. Do not forget to taste the veg. momos.

Is it possible to go to robber s cave on December 19? What would be the weather like?
Written 5 December 2018
It would be excellent to go there at 11am
and come back before 3pm...this time range will suit the kids too and they would be able to tolerate the cold and enjoy as well.
Have a pleasant trip.

Yes the month of August is a great time to visit. The water will be much colder. But honestly this place is more hype. It's very sad to see that people feel it's their national duty to litter and throw waste all over the place. That is extremely disappointing
