We have passed Tú Lệ Valley (Thung Lũng Tú Lệ) from Nghia Lo to Mu Cang Chai, it's a beautiful Valley. From Khau Pha Pass, you will see beautiful Green Rice Field Terrace. Rice will be colorful yellow from Middle Sep - Oct. You should arrange your time to visit it as soon as possible. You can take a moto-bike trip or a bus from Hanoi to Nghia Lo 180 km, then from Nghia Lo to Mu Cang Chai 100km. You will also go through Khau Pha Pass (one of 4 Highest Pass in the North of Vietnam).
We wish you have a great trip!

A one street town on QL32, quite town accept the passing by of some trucks and the farmer motorbikes, a good place to stop for a night to enjoy the scenic view of the terrace field, some recommendation is to come here during harvesting, but i prefer after harvesting where you can view the terraces with the patches of water, there is a nice and clean Hotel with restaurant right at the center of this one street village. You will not miss it as it is the most grand building here. Coming from North it is on your left side of the main road. Nice view behind in the morning. There are scenic view about 13 km north of Tu Le. Whether you want to see this places in harvesting or during seeding seasons.

We took the long and windy road from Nhgia Lo to Mu Cang Chai enroute visiting the Tu Le valley. From the high mountain pass looking down to the terraced rice fields and the valley just simply amazing. This is the road less traveled, no massive tour groups just you and nature. So wonderful and peaceful.

Surrounded by mountains, terraced rice paddies starting in the valley and in some cases, working their way all the way to the top! Try to go when the rice is being harvested, from mid-September through early October. If not, you can go when the rice is being planted and the terraces are flooded in May.
The bonus is being able to get a glimpse into the lives of the Hmong, Thai, and other ethnic minorities who live in the vicinity. Don't expect any fancy hotels or western food, but it's definitely worth it as a place to not only see amazing scenery but to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban Vietnam.

The valley is beautiful in all directions. The views that can be gotten from the road (QL32) are amazing and a drive through the valley itself is very rewarding as well. If you're passing by here, take out some extra time for this.

It's amazing if you explore this pretty valley by a motorbike. The best time is Autumn when the havasting season coming.
Tu Le Valley in Yen Bai Province’s Van Chan District is among the favourite destinations for tourists who enjoy natural beauty. During the autumn Tu Le becomes more beautiful as the rice fields turn yellow and the harvest atmosphere fills the town.
Tu Le is famous for its sticky rice, a dish that is often served with local roast pork. Both wet and dry young rice (com) are also among the locality’s specialities.
Fields and wooden houses decorate the mountainsides making Tu Le more picturesque. Standing on Khau Pha Mountain Pass after a rain, the lucky visitor might be able to witness the lovely sight of the clouds passing over the fields.
