This is a very busy Mexican town with lots to do. Many restaurants and wonderful beaches. You can shop downtown or just walk around and people watch.

This is still a relatively unspoiled corner of Mexico (I suspect there aren't many left, on the coast in particular). A quiet village with cobbled streets, a lovely beach with palm trees, not too many hotels (but still a good choice) and the right amount...More

The town is small and has a lot of souvenir and food stores to browse. There Is a large choice of good restaurants on the beautiful beach. There are also a lot of buildings that are still damaged after the 1995 earthquake. Primarily, three large...More

We spent three days visiting Melaque. Lovely weather and a nice beach plus a few neighboring towns make Melaque interesting.

Taking a short drive up or down the coast and you will find nicer beaches. The nearest would be Manzanilla.

We stayed at the Grand Isla Navidad resort and it was wonderful. Hotel was well maintained and the staff was very attentive. We got a free tour of the property and we still cant get over the immense size of it. We visited Barra and...More

Busier town than Barra, however we felt it not as quaint. Has a better beach & lots of beachside restaurants

A small and lazy town, a bit scruffy and uninviting. Beach is nice but lots of rather shacky looking places to stay and a huge, block long deserted hotel. We will not return. Much better to visit nearby Barra de Navidad
