Taking a short drive up or down the coast and you will find nicer beaches. The nearest would be Manzanilla.

Very beautiful beach but lacking of any services. Great potential for a resort town but no resort. Bring your own food and drinks. Bring a big umbrella for shade. Very relaxing but nothing other than miles of beach

While this stretch of beach is pretty it's not taken care of hence, stuff washed up, no services. Waves were rough as well. Not much attraction. We stayed 5 minutes.

Was taken here because it is one of the only places to snorkel in the area. It was closed for a number of years and is just starting to allow visitors again. There are no services. It is wild and beautiful. Bring your own everything.

Tenacatita is a great anchorage for boaters. Good swimming and other water sports. Jungle trip at far end a must. Careful with beach landing. Snotty hotel dont like cruisers. Get real. Charming town taxi ride away. Lovely long curved beach .
