We just wanted a little zoo experience - we had half an hour or so. The Screech Owl Sanctuary is very friendly letting you in even if they are not open - you can still see lots of differents owls, some meerkats, 2 tiny goats and 2 emus. It's not easy to take pictures, as the automatic camera focuses on... More

Thank you for your review and for coming to see us while the sanctuary is closed. During the winter we offer visitors to come in and look around on a donational basis to view the animals and owls and has proved very successful this winter. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about your camera focusing on the wire as... More

Thank you Margaret for visiting even though the sanctuary is closed for the winter. Visitors are encouraged to come in and look around on a donational basis when we are closed just to see how the owls and animals are doing. We hope you will come and see us when we open in February half term. More

I've been going to Cornwall for years and this is one of the places we always see advertised and mean to go to but never got round to going! Going to the Eden Project and seeing the owls up close and personal, we decided to go as it's just down the road from where we stay. Nice grounds and enclosures... More

Thank you Chris for taking the time to write a review for us and that you finally got around to visit. We were at the Eden project in the lead up to Halloween as we have done so for many years and it was nice of you to take one of our discounted leaflets and visit. You took the opportunity... More

We arrived in time to see a flight display with Kookie the Kookaburra. Its clear to see that the birds are well loved and cared for. So many owls and birds to see which was great. The meerkats and goats were funny to watch. Only wish we could contribute more to allow the larger owls to have larger enclosures as... More

Visited here a week ago and we really enjoyed our visit. When we arrived we were just in time for a flying display. The lady flying the birds was very lovely and gave out lots of information. She flew a barn owl, an eagle owl and the lovely kookaburra! There are many owls on display along with some racoons and... More

Great place to visit by your self or with family. Many owls of many breeds. Some saved from horrible situations. There are other animals here too. Snack bar and play area for the kids. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic.

This has to be my favourite place in Cornwall, we visit several times a year and are never disappointed. The staff are so friendly, knowledgable and you really can tell they love the owls. The flying demonstrations are amazing as are the owl encounters, where you get to learn so much about these beautiful birds. A great day out even... More

Working with Birds of prey ( a rescue centre) we always try to visit other sites of similar nature and can highly recommend The Screech Owl Sanctuary - we have visited it each time we visit Cornwall and cannot praise it highly enough - very friendly and knowledgeable staff - The flying display by "Kookie" the kookaburra is worth the... This owl sanctuary is a real find. It is off the beaten track but well worth the effort of a visit. There are regular activities during the day including up close sessions where a keeper has an owl within arms reach and they knowledgeably and with humour explain what is distinctive about each of the owls they have - 2-3... Thanks Alex for your review and we are so pleased you found us and had a great time. When the new A30 was constructed through the sanctuary a few years ago highways erected the big brown attraction signs in off the new road so I am not sure which way you found us but we are glad you made it...
