What a beautiful Cathedral! The facade is a beautiful example of colonial architecture and the rich rococo style introduced to America in the 1700s. The altar inside is modern, but done so tastefully that matches the 300 year-old structure. A true example of elegance and good taste. A must see.

Nice church in Zacatecas. This thing was pretty huge compared to some in Mexico. On sunday there were a few people selling tamales and other food around the outside.

It is a beautiful example of BARROCO architecture, but you definitely have to see it during night time!!!! Pictures might be a little uncomfortable because there is very little space in between the building and and the other side of the road, but it is radiant at night!

Incredible craftsmanship from over 500 years ago. Built @ 1562 the finely detail carvings are amazing. Amazing for 500 yrs old. The cathedral is lighted at night making it even more spectacular.

This cathedral is absolutely gorgeous on the outside. I recommend visiting once during the day and once at night to see the lighting. The inside was a little disappointing, but totally worthwhile anyhow.

The Cathedral forms the heart of the city. It's facade is highly carved and has been subject to many articles. But just looking at it is very interesting. Inside, beside the images requisite, I was impressed by the ceiling, yellow work delicate and refined.
