Apart from having one of the largest pipe organs in Latin America this church is a huge and beautifully built cathedral. It is especially worth seeing at night all lit up.

Our first night in Morelia, and people are dressed up in period costumes for the 9:00 pm show every Saturday. An amazing firework display, especially as the public are so close to the action. The main street was closed to traffic and street sellers are...More

The Cathedral is very impressive and a must see when visiting the historic city center of Morelia. There are many vendors outside, and many visitors praying inside. Use your best discretion when visiting and taking photos inside as to not disturb those who are in...More

Morelia is known for its beautiful historic cathedral - and for good reason. It's a stunning place both during the daytime and night.

How the craftsmen and masons erected buildings like this always amazes me. This is another example of incredible workmanship that could not be duplicated today. But inside the cathedral is gloomy and oppressive. Explicit pictures of Jesus suffering and being tortured do nothing to lift...More

Was fortunate enough to be in Moerlia for the weekend. At night they have a light and fireworks display to please the tourists, as well as the locals. The Cathedral its very nice and centrally located. So much to see and do all around it.

Just go in, sit in a pew midway and consider when this was built - the craftsmanship, the engineering, the design and aesthetic of this beautiful church. Think of all the prayers and offerings that have transpired there. Calming respite.

Right in the city center and amazing to see. Tons of history and you have to see it at night to appreciate the cathedral even more.

Lovely during the day but irresistible at night. Enjoy the inside, but sit on the plaza and enjoy the view from the Lu.
