One block away from Morelia’s cathedral and central garden, this is a peaceful, lovely garden to stroll around, have some food or just some coffee in one of the several cafeterias’ outdoor tables, nicely set along one side. Facing the cafeterias’ side are Las Rosas Conservatory of Music and, just besides it, a nice, very old church with a stunning altar. All buildings in this enticing area are of colonial origin and stone-built. On on of its sides, you will find a sort of a large public terrace overlooking this square, offering you a nice view from atop. If you like good bread, pastries, coffee and/or tea, Origo cafeteria, on the end close to the above mentioned terrace is a peaceful good alternative.

This is a lovely block long walkway with a park on one side and cafes lining the other side as well as some great architecture to look at across the street. We stopped here on two afternoons to get a drink and a small bite to eat. A fun spot to watch local life and just relax in the beauty of the trees, flowers and architecture.

A lovely square off of the main central area where most of the action is happening. Several cafes line the street and local vendors sell their wares. There are some beautiful trees and bougainvillea.

Lovely area away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Relaxing place to wonder - have a cup of coffee at a local bar and just enjoy the atmosphere.
Great statue - see picture

Came across this park on my morning walk. It's a cute little park to sit and maybe chat with your friend or partner.

A perfect spot to spend an hour or two in the afternoon or evening. Lots of terrific restaurants and coffee shops line one side. Truly has the feel of a side street in Paris

One of my favorite spots in Morelia! Wonderful if you want to sit and drink a coffee or a beer. It is named after the old “Colegio de Santa Rosa”, which was a school for Spanish girls during colonial times and now is the music conservatory. This a place where sometimes you’ll find artists performing, selling paintings or other similar activities. You can see two statues here, one of Miguel de Cervantes and one of Vasco de Quiroga.

A very shaded park in front of the convent de las rosas/consevatorio lind with sidewalk cafes. I spent hours there relaxing, people watching at various times of the day.

At least this time of year, there are no particularly interesting vegetation aspects to this garden. However, just up the hill half a block are some very interesting statues, and there are friendly outdoor / indoor cafes that offer 2 for 1 beers. So it is worth the walk, just not for the garden itself. Maybe Spring or Summer is different.
