I've watched a couple of films there and the crowded one had about 6 other people. For one, there were only two of us. They have a reasonable selection of films and it's only 10 bucks.

giant screen and comfy seats with plenty of leg room. Not only is this a beautiful building with an amazing Gaiety Theatre lead light above the entrance but it is beautifully restored. Eat your heart out Aucklanders nothing up there compares.
