Hope Cove is like no other part of South Devon. The views looking down from the hills above are stunning and once down at The Cove, the scenery that awaits is breath taking. A delightful little cove with 2 separate beach areas, one dog free...More

Hope Cove is a lovely village with nice beaches. Our latest visit was tarnished by ridiculous parking charges. The car park closest to the beach is private owned. The owner has recent installed cameras in addition to the ticket machine. Even if you have a...More

Only went for an afternoon in August so expected it to be busy. It has more than one beach in hope, with the main beach being large enough to accommodate everyone. There are rocks and boats moored at one end and then an expanse of...More

As a family we had visited several beaches in this area of Devon so our expectations were high- however we were very disappointed- the beach was covered in smelly seaweed and areas near the sea wall where sea water had gathered was extremely smelly. There...More

Two varied beaches. Plenty of sand. Excellent for young children. Good swimming for adults. People surf.

As most people agree, this is a lovely peaceful place. Usually. The Cottage Hotel has just started on what we are told is a 10 year development plan, involving an extra storey and a large extension, so the whole village enjoys the intermittent bleep of...More

It's a lovely small cove but parking is £5 and not many eateries. I've made 3 visits now and out of season is best advised.

A compact and attractive and typical Devon Cove. Not the very best for sand but fine. Pubs and small gift shop. Parking limited and payment requir d. Cards accepted. £1.20 per hour. Local coastal walks available.

I stayed at inner Hope cove and I would say that it is ideal for dog walkers but there is really not much else going on. Steep walk down the hill and tough climb back up again. A 7 minute walk to the next cove...More

A few cafes and pubs, dog friendly. Great coastal walks, watch out for the cliff edge with your dog though. It will be super busy in high season and I don’t think dogs can go on beach during the summer months.

I believe the Cove does and the food is very good, but it's a small place and food can take a while coming out. The owner/manager can be a bit bolshy and defensive read some of his responses to any criticism on here!!
