We had a party of 6 in my family from 17-24 years old, plus me the dad. Everyone caught fish. Our crew knew where to take us. We told them we were looking for fish to eat. So they put us on some Dorado and we got a Bonito while bait fishing. None of the Dorado were huge but we caught 8 of them. So all in all, a good day fishing. We had a few other fish on the line at times as well but the Dorado and Bonito made for good eating later at our hotel. This is my third trip in 3 years with Catch Fish Cabo. It’s always been a good experience.

We decided to go and went out with Catch Fish Cabo. We had such an amazing time on the ship and it was great because they took off from the dock right down the street from our hotel. We saw so many sea life animals! We saw the biggest pod of dolphins I've ever seen, manta rays, sea turtles, sharks, and of course we caught fish. We caught Marlins, Ahi's, and a shark! I had never gotten sea sick in my life and I did on this trip, so I'd recommend taking some dramamine. The captain and the crew were amazing, they even let me drive the boat for awhile! We can't recommend them enough and will 100% go out with them again next time we're in Cabo. The boat was very clean and we felt very taken care of.

We paid about $450 US for a day trip for two fishermen in November 2019. We were there during prime yellowfin tuna time. Tuna were being caught off Gordo Banks at that time which why we booked out of San Jose Del Cabo instead of Cabo San Lucas (less running time ). We made it clear we wanted yellowfin. Boats ran out passed us towards Gordo Banks. We stayed close to the shore and catch nothing. We rarely got above an idle. After multiple attempts at trying to get them to run out further, they rudely agreed. By that that time it was too late to go very far. We did catch about a 45 lb. marlin once we motored out a ways but we were no where near where they caught tuna. As a retired fisheries biologist and avid sportsfishermam I was really disappointed. They had us write our licience numbers on the back of the government catch logs. The boat we were on seldom caught a fish and extremely rarely more than 2 fish over the last 2 months of records I looked at. This was the experience I would have expected out of a new captain with a panga for $150 - 200. If you are an inexperienced fisherman this guy may work for you. I have been with enough good guides to know this guy did a poor job. The guy did know how to set lines out to avoid tangles. We did have to insist that he use the live bait we bought. He wanted to stick with artificial baits (which is fine if you go to the right place).

We went out with I hope I’m remembering his name right, Fernando he was a great captain and his deckhand was an amazing fishermen, between these two they new the best spots to go and what exactly to use. We started out catching bait fish which was fun itself, we fished for a while just casting off the boat, and then we trolled an area they said usually has marlin, we didn’t catch there but about 20 minutes later at another spot my buddy and I both our lines got hit, he pulled in about an 80lb marlin and I pulled in a 150lb marlin, it was amazing. Honestly I thought we would head back after that but that was just about halfway. We had a few other big hits but us being amateurs they got away with the bait, so then we trolled along the beach which was beautiful and caught some Roosters, these guys literally say as there dropping the bait in the water when your line gets hit wait 4 seconds so it can get the bait good and then lock it up like they know for sure your going to get a fish in this spot, well within about 30 seconds I hooked about a 25lb rooster it was really fun. I highly reccomend fishing with catchfish, nice guys and great experience
