This was a GREAT location to be dropped off at via Uber for the weekly (every Thursday evening) Art Walk. We loved all the beautiful architecture, local shops, food and the Instagram worthy "San Jose del Cabo" art installation in front of one of the historic churches in the Plaza!

Really fun to hang out on the plaza and people with. Seems there is usally always somethng going on. Artist, food stands, local families. With the church at the side of the plaza it gives it such a welcoming presense.

Located in the heat of the town’s historic district, Plaza Mijares is a square with many things to see and do, from cafes and restaurants, to art galleries and historical buildings.

This central plaza is a lovely place to spend a little while when visiting San Jose del Cabo. A variety of features are around to make it an interesting visit. The mission church is beautiful, the city name sign in the mission plaza is a picture-worthy spot. Also, lots of restaurants and shops within walking area of the plaza. The fountain was not working when we visited in November.

This is indeed a worthwhile stop on a tour of San Jose.

A typical plaza of Spanish Heritage with a Church at one end and more buildings around the plaza that support various places. We were here for the Día de Muertos celebration that was held.

Many vendors and places to eat and visit were here. Visited the church and had dinner here. Worth seeing as part of this town.

As main clauses go this one is pretty basic. It's quiet and it's clean. There is a big Mexican flag. Mission de San Jose del Cabo is interesting quick stop. Plenty of gift shops and little places to eat. Monday afternoon around 5 p.m., not sure why it's completely dead.

We walked several times to the Plaza, the town is lovely and the plaza is clean, well decorated with great shopping opportunities along with the historic church as a background.

On our recent trip to Los Cabos we visited the Plaza Mijares in San Jose del Cabo on a number of occasions. We just enjoyed walking around, browsing in the shops around the Plaza, eating the street food as well as in the restaurants in the streets surrounding Plaza Mijares. On Thursday nights the Plaza is transformed into an artist's haven where all the local artists come out to exhibit their work and there are food and drinks available for visitors and art enthusiasts. However, we were there on Sunday night and there were dance lessons being conducted and locals were participating and learning to waltz.
This is a place where we saw locals come with their families and pets and just enjoy hanging out.

We always walk from the Coral Baja Resort into Plaza Mijares in the heart of San Jose del Cabo. Take the Hoteleria divided boulevard from the main highway to Mijares road and walk straight into town arriving at Plaza Mijares. It's 2.5 miles one way. Go in late morning when it's cooler. Spend a few quiet moments in the church. Buy ice cream on the square, and watch people, local and tourists, come and go. Many restaurants to choose from. Cruise the art shops on the side streets that go off the plaza. Take the local rickety bus back to La Comer grocery store for 13 pesos. A fun few hours.
