It was good to be with locals but food carts had terrible food for high touristy prices. Had tamales and churros and it really wasn’t worth it. Don’t waste your money on the food carts.

We loved this area of San Jose Del Cabo! Lots of Art Galleries and cute little places to eat or get a drink. There was a show going on in celebration of international women's day which was fun to watch. We enjoyed the plaza and the area around it very much.

This was a nice spot to hang out and do a little shopping. The shops are more touristy and expensive. Some shops you can haggle and bargain with, but the prices are still high.
On a nice weather day, you can get ice cream or some fruits and this would be a great place to walk around and explore. They also have restaurants you can visit and other cute boutique shops.

So, this is not the most beautiful plaza but it has atmosphere, especially at night. Central point of the town. A main meeting location. There are some tourist things worth seeing around the square, plus some shops, chemists and a few places to grab a bite to eat or a coffee. Not very clean. Loads of birds around too. Good place to get your orientation! If your getting an uber, their most likely to pick you up or drop you here. At night (not sure if this is every evening) but when we were there they had food stalls and entertainment. There was a festival on. Walk away from the square and there are beautiful art galleries, boutique shops and hip restaurants. The area is generally safe but stay on the main roads as the quieter roads can be dark and isolated.

This was a GREAT location to be dropped off at via Uber for the weekly (every Thursday evening) Art Walk. We loved all the beautiful architecture, local shops, food and the Instagram worthy "San Jose del Cabo" art installation in front of one of the historic churches in the Plaza!

Really fun to hang out on the plaza and people with. Seems there is usally always somethng going on. Artist, food stands, local families. With the church at the side of the plaza it gives it such a welcoming presense.

Located in the heat of the town’s historic district, Plaza Mijares is a square with many things to see and do, from cafes and restaurants, to art galleries and historical buildings.

This central plaza is a lovely place to spend a little while when visiting San Jose del Cabo. A variety of features are around to make it an interesting visit. The mission church is beautiful, the city name sign in the mission plaza is a picture-worthy spot. Also, lots of restaurants and shops within walking area of the plaza. The fountain was not working when we visited in November.
This is indeed a worthwhile stop on a tour of San Jose.

A typical plaza of Spanish Heritage with a Church at one end and more buildings around the plaza that support various places. We were here for the Día de Muertos celebration that was held.
Many vendors and places to eat and visit were here. Visited the church and had dinner here. Worth seeing as part of this town.

Hello! Has anyone ever had or seen a wedding ceremony occur here?
Thanks! ~Lisa
Is the plaza and shops open on Mondays?

I lost of necklace purchased at a jewelry shop across from Jardin De Los Cabenos Ilustres. The shop was located right side diagonal to the front of the structure on the side street of the plaza. If anyone know the names of any of the stores on that side street of the Plaza, could you please post. I would to forward a picture of the necklace for a replacement.
