A definite ‘to-do’ in Cabo!
Jun 2021 • Couples
Very beautiful beach - clear, turquoise water and beautiful sand. There is a lot to explore on this beach too. So many little coves and marine life. Would definitely recommend a day trip to this beach!

Worth It
Mar 2021 • Couples
This is a great public beach. Located next to many resorts including the One and Only. Access from the parking lot is easy. It is clean and beautiful. There are a few vendors selling their wares but they are not too aggressive. You can easily rent chairs and an umbrella for 500 pesos for the day (I’m sure I could have negotiated a little better?!) You cannot use the resort amenities but there is plenty of room. Bring your own food and drinks as they do not sell. Water is great for swimming and it looks like there are some rocky areas with some snorkeling. Definitely a beautiful place to relax and get lost watching the waves or reading your book.

A Truly Delightful Beach
Oct 2020
This beach was tranquil, sunny, and very relaxing. The water is a perfect temperature, and swimmable, which is rare for this part of the Baja Peninsula. I enjoyed how it's a public beach, too, which meant there were a lot of families frolicking in the waves and not just guests of the fancy hotel right behind the beach. I'd recommend Palmilla to anyone looking for a fun swim in the San Jose Del Cabo area.

Public Beaches closes at 6 pm!
Sep 2020
Our concierge suggested this beach as a local favorite. Uber drops and picks up. Safe and clean.

We went one evening around 5 pm and stayed till 7. Not much for waves and plenty of places to wade in and relax in the surf.

Our second night we did the same thing and park rangers came around and started telling people to leave. Half of us listened and packed up. I think its due to the Pandemic but I would do some homework before committing to the public beach.

better beaches
Jul 2020
average public beach, bigger cove so more people. you can rent an umbrella and it's nice enough. public bathrooms but no shower to rinse off that i could see. my biggest downside is they have surveillance cameras on the beach because of the hotel behind. i don't like the idea of being watched from some security room. i leaned against an empty cabana near our umbrella and a security guard came running out, he felt a bit silly as i wasn't doing anything. after that we left, ruined the mood. i was told the hotel tried to make the beach private for the hotel guests but the the government wouldn't let them.

We came by this beach as a side note from our tour guide as we were talking about The Residences in Palmilla. He informed us that this beautiful beach is public. Its amazing and I'm glad to know i will be able to visit it for longer time.

Amazing View!

Me and my fiance had a wonderful time at Playa Palmilla. The place was peaceful and the waves were amazing. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and the peaceful environment. Definitely a place we will come back with the kids for some good snorkeling and sea food.
