I truly can’t say enough good things about Panterra, they took care of every single detail. From good communication prior to the trip to suggestions on where to stay when arriving in Mexico. The safe and courteous return transfers to and from our hotel to the ship in La Paz was smooth and we especially enjoyed the detour for lunch in Todos Santos! Once on the boat the food, the drinks, the snorkelling and the fun were second to none! Keep in mind that safety is a priority at all times for the Captain and all the crew aboard. They are a truly professional, knowledgeable and friendly crew. It felt like a once in a lifetime adventure but I am sure working hard to afford to get back for another tour with Panterra! It is a trip that is worth every penny!

Unbelievable life experience. I have attended four week long trips with Panterra Adventure Travel Vacations on their boat all through the Sea of Cortez. We departed from the marina in La Paz to a whole new world above and below the water. Swam with the whale sharks, sea lions snorkeling and hiking every day. Love the crew and the way we were treated. I will be going back!!

I cannot say enough good things about Panterra Educational and Cultural Training Society. Our amazing experience was so wonderful that we had to experience it more than once. The staff, accommodations, and food were amazing, but it was the cultural and natural experiences that we had that made memories to last a lifetime. The sea life we saw was phenomenal and the staff was so knowledgeable for all learning levels. I would HIGHLY recommend Panterra Educational and Cultural Training Society!

An amazing holistic experience. Everything from transportation from the airport to the boutique hotel to the panga trip to the whale camp was organized to the last detail! I felt like I was experiencing the people, land, sea and animals on my terms in a very real way. Lela and her staff make everyone feel like they are not only taken care of but given a gift of experience that transcends all expectation.

This review is long overdue as I have now been on several expeditions with Eco-Panterra, Lela and her crew. I will review my most recent awesome trip that I consider a privilege to have been a part of. This trip was not on a boat for a week which I normally went on. It started our first night at the lovely Hotel Catedral. We met for a nice dinner and introduction of our fellow travelers. The next morning we were up early, divided into two vans and off we went for our first destination. I can't remember the names of all the places we stopped at but had an incredible education at each stop as well as tasty food. But the main event was the 3 different places along our 5 day journey that we stopped at to see the whales. Each day we divided into small groups of 6 and boarded a small panga boat that took us out into Magdalena Bay where the whales were with their babies. Lela provided us 3 great experiences in our 5 days, the first by being able to see, approach and touch the Gray whales in a very remote shallow birthing bay. The next experience was to do the same in a deeper bay where the whales were able to spy hop and dive, again with limited people around. The 3rd experience was to join the masses and converge in numbers upon a whale! It is Mexico's tourism afterall. We saw thousands of different types of birds, various beaches, and a group of killer whales in the bay, a rare sight! The benefit/luxury of choosing Eco-Panterra is the knowledge, safety and small personal care/experiences that Lela and her crew provide each participant. This trip hit very rural areas and I found nothing but raw beauty in the people, animals, environment and FOOD! The food everywhere we stopped was the BEST!!!! The Baja penninsula is beautiful, the sea and it's creatures, the night stars, the quiet life style and the beauty of the experience either on land or sea is something that keeps me coming back to one or two tours a year thru Eco-Panterra because EVERY time it is unique and different and I come home alive and wondering why I just don't move there! So don't hesitate and think a bigger company would be better. This company is a gem!!!!! If you like my review and found it helpful, feel free to give me a thumbs up "like". See you on board! Trish
