Wish the sign on the highway said public. Instead is said residence and club (I believe). We took a chance with the exit and found the public access.

If you are looking for a wonderful beach in the San José del Cabo area, look no further as Chileno Beach is the best! The beach is clean with beautiful soft sand. The washrooms are well kept & have showers to clean yourself off after...More

Took the bus here from Costa Azul. Fast and easy, get the purple and yellow bus ( though others may stop for you), cost was 28 pesos each. Bus stops pretty close to beach, though getting dropped off coming from San Jose you have to...More

We went to Chileno Beach to get away for the crowds (vendors) at Medano Beach. We had a great day there, just pack your cooler and go!

Can't find a swimmable beach? Then you haven't looked close enough....lovers beach by boat or Chileno Beach....breathtaking and great snorkeling. The people are friendly and the beach clean and all you need for a spectacular day to sit and relax and enjoy the Cabo shoreline.

We had a great time at this public beach. It was extremely busy, and there were some waves which made for some rough entry in to the water, but there were fish everywhere. About 10 yards from shore, we were surrounded by fish the entire...More

We usually go on Cabo Escape to Chileno Beach for snorkeling. A lot depends on the weather as to how clear the water is for snorkeling; however, folks can see a lot of fish, especially by the reef. I've never seen it as clear and...More

A great escape from Cabo San Lucas. A beautiful beach not far from Cabo though I'd suggest Playa Santa Maria for even more beautiful escape.

Go early in the morning to avoid the tourist boat crowds. Felt very safe. Many local families enjoying their Saturday. Water was clear and lots of fish. Different atmosphere than Hawaii as there are no coral reefs, but fish were plentiful and varied near the...More

Hot and cold are relative terms. For someone like me used to the cold waters off of the Canadian East Coast, it's warm. My daughter snorkels in February. There are not wild heat fluctuations in Cabo so I doubt the water... More

That's one of the beauties of this place! No-one constantly plaguing you trying to sell something. Bring water with you and a snack if needed.
