Every time I find time when visiting Rogaland, on a nice day, I go to Sola Beach. Here you find the finest sand, the waves rolling in from the ocean, fresh air and plenty of space. Lay down in the dunes and take a nap!

Overnight stay at the Airport Hotel. Nice sunny day so cycled down to the beach, very clean and sandy. Good for kiteboarding though have to book days in advance! Not much in the way of amenities but highly recommended.

In general all beaches in Norway are super clean, this one did not make an exception. The water is almost always too cold to bathe, but surfing conditions are excellent.

This is such a beautiful stretch of beach. Great for a fresh winter walk or a relaxing day in the summer. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.

There's no better place to be than on this lovely golden sand covered beach when the weather is hot. The beach stretches for several kilometres so there is plenty of space for everyone even on popular days. The water is shallow which makes it convenient...More

A quiet weekend at the beach with family. Brought along our own barbecue and grilling sausages and hamburger. Missing places to buy additional treats.

The Sola beach is a beautiful place. Can be enjoyed in any weather but be sure to prepare for wind. Lots of activities possible, from kiting to beach activities. If you need a break the Sola Beach Hotel is a welcoming refuge.

You can take a bus from Stavanger center to the airport and walk 1km to the beach. The bus cost ca 50-60 NOK for an adult ticket. The easiest is to take a taxi from the harbor to the beach. Expect 5-600 NOK each way in a... More
