A great walk around a reservoir with a top walk and bottom walk. It is also a nature reserve with a hide for bird watchers. The biggest problem are the selfish dog walkers who despite having the top walk where their dogs can run free...More

Clean, quiet, with parking. Few benches. Parking is big. Disabled can park very close to the pond. That's it.

We took the dogs here today and they throughly enjoyed it. It’s a shame they were unable to swim in the reservoir but they found a cheeky stream so they were happy. Not a huge walk but a very pleasant one.

This is really worth a visit. Distance is about two miles of easy walking on paths. Lovely woodland and views of the reservoir. There is a bird hide. Good for all the family. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.

With a pay and display car park (£1.50 for 2 hours) at the start of a walk, the reservoir offers two routes, the inner route (dogs on leads) stays closer to the waterside and the outer (dogs off the lead) which takes slightly higher ground....More

There are two car parks here, the main one by the Calvert Trust, which can easily be missed depending where you approach from, where the toilets are, and one further up the road. Parking is very cheap. We parked in the farthest one as we...More

Pleasant circuit of a wood-fringed reservoir built between 1950 and 1957 to supply the Ilfracombe district. The inner path, well surfaced and mostly level, can be completed in about 45 minutes. It is ideal for children and the less mobile. Walk clockwise to finish with...More

What a beautiful walk with amazing scenery not too hilly and suitable for wheelchair users. Little hidden activities throughout the walk for everyone to enjoy which kept my 2 year old entertained. There are plenty of rest benches around the reservoir and picnic tables (you...More

You need to turn by the Calvert Trust site. It can easily be missed if approaching from the left

Not sure if there's an actual play area. There is a kind of activity trail on the way round.
