The statue is situated at the intersection of four busy streets, in front of the mayor's office and near Puputan Square. It is constructed as a four sided figure of Brahma, a supreme Hindu god, Each of the four faces of the statue looks to a compass point. Imposing at 9m height.

Catur Muka is present here since 1973. Name of the sculptor is I Gusti Nyoman Lempad from Ubud. Four faces looking into North, South, East and West directions. It is meant to symbolize the unlimited presence of Brahma, the great Hindu god.
One of the most important actual functions of Catur Muka is serving as a point of orientation within the city of Denpasar. It is placed on one of the most important junctions in the city between Jalan Gajah Mada and Jalan Veteran near Lapangan Puputan Badung (Denpasar's central park/square). Often I sighed of relief after seeing Catur Muka.amidst an ocean of motorized traffic. Now I knew where I was again.
For some mysterious reason this statue is listed by Tripadvisor under Dangin Puri and not Denpasar thus attributing to the confusion and chaos of finding places of interest in South Bali in general.
