On our way from Gangtok to Namchi, we have to pass through a place called TEMI, and this is a place where we find TEA plantations abundantly. I am from South of India and have seen similar tea plantations in Ooty and other places. TEMI is no different. The weather was quite pleasant and we stopped for a moment to take some pics.

Temi tea is one of the most charming and famous tea garden of Sikkim. It is located at 4000 to 6000 ft height. The beauty of the teaclad rolling hills makes it a place to spend sometime and click few pictures. One can also take their factory tour of how the tea processing is done and also get to taste some of the finest plucks. There are small tea joints along the road where one can spend time tasting tea and munch on snacks. If you plan to buy Sikkimese tea then best to buy from here as you will get some discounts. The place is 2hrs drive from Gangtok, so if you are coming to Gangtok from Ravangla or Pelling then check with your driver if he is taking this route to Gangtok. The road takes you through the tea garden and one can enjoy the fresh mountain breeze amidst the greenery of the gardens. Strongly recommend spending sometime here.

Awestruck by the beauty of the tea garden and definitely a must visit to the heritage Bada Bungalow, The Temi Bungalow within the temi tea garden estate itself. Its cottages and beautiful bungalow rooms has its own charm and vintage feel. The snow capped mountain peaks of the Mt. Kanchenjunga is a breathtaking view from its deck.

Visited on a solo tour in Nov 2021. I heard a lot that this place is for families, honeymooners and senior citizens to relax and enjoy at leisure. Actually Temi is for everyone, even solo travelers and adventure seekers. Full sightseeing of the tea gardens includes a tea factory tour, tea tasting, ziplining, paragliding, mountain biking and more. You need 1 night stay here at a minimum. Pro tip: Choose Cherry Resort as your hotel and don't miss out on the breakfast in the morning from their rooftop cafe. Thank me later!

We, two couples, all senior citizens visited this place and stayed at the Temi Tea Garden Guesthouse for two nights. It was a fabulous experience. The g/h is well maintained, the staff are courteous and the view is marvelous. On a clear day, one can see The Kanchanjangha sitting right at the balcony. Being located within the tea garden and the factory adjoining, one can have a look into the processing unit and also can purchase genuine Temi tea from the factory sales office.
Finally, Kavita, the hostess of Temi. She deserves a wholehearted thanks for being so understanding and careful towards the elderly couples like us.

Can you please suggest me a good hotel/ resort which is located in temi tea garden?

Cherry Resort is in the tea estate itself.
Nice place. It is a government property, being run privately by a local. Rooms are nice and spacious but not luxurious. Food is good and service is excellent. Views are superb. Take the garden facing rooms.
Otherwise you can look at hotels in Namchi town. It is about 20 kms from the tea estate.

There is no paragliding at Temi Tarku. It would be in Gangtok and Kalimpong. Worth checking with Denzong leisure
