The place is about 15 minute motorbike ride from centre Bangli. The place is very serene. We got there at about 10 am and the weather was nice and cool. There were a number of locals carrying out the 'melukat' ceremony and we were offered to join in. We purchased flowers and incense for offering (available near the lockers - available for rent at Rp 5000; sarongs are also available for rent at Rp 5000). A man dressed in religious attire led the ceremony, and after a chant and a splash of holy water, you have to go to each water source starting at the far end of the stream. After going through all the steps in the stream, then you can go into the pool where there were 9 very strong water sources, and again you have to go under each water source. After all steps are completed, the religious leader would offer rice, holy water and 'salak' (snake skin fruit) for your blessing. It's a great way to experience local tradition, very peaceful and calming.

One of the best place we visited, because far from the tourists crowd, very peaceful, nice people willing to make us understand their traditions.

However, I must say that this experience has been ruined by one of the young guy responsible for the sarong lending who asked us 4 times the real price of the sarong. We paid to not raise a scandal in a holy place, but it is shameful. Shame on him.
I didn't take in account this incident to note the place.

Tirta Sudamala Temple is a religious tourist attraction, Bebalang Village.
The natural beauty of the Tirta Sudamala temple with its various fountains and natural springs is beautiful. Unfortunately, there were no religious ceremonies to be seen with many people. Often this sacred resort is visited by many Balinese. When we visited the temple there were 3 foreign tourists present. Access: 20K

There are two parts of this temple the wet and dry. Neither is to be missed especially on a festival day every 210 days or on a full moon.

We arranged for purification ceremonies in the waters and on high ground along with a thousand or so locals who visited the temple during the 2 1/2 hrs comprising our visit.

This is serious business for Hindus, a sarong , decorum and a towel is required. There are many steps down to the blessing areas, it is slippery and can be scattered with rubbish. No hand rails!

If you can visit during a festival, it will make all the difference in the world.

This temple is located in the middle of thick trees not far from the center of Bangli Village. This place not only purifies body, but also your mind and soul. I was enlightened as I walked in the place. It was full of greenery and I could hear the chanting of almighty in every corner of the place. They say it is never quiet around “the shower” area because the water seems so clean and so the local village people are using it as their drinking water.

The water was refreshing in a combination of warm and cold. It is said that those who are struggling with life’s challenges will benefit from bathing in the waters, which wash away ambiguity and lead to spiritual awakening. As for me, I experienced a positive energy entering my body.

In our family we are not really into the temple thing, but still the local culture.
And if you are to visit a temple in Bali this is probably one of the more interesting places to visit.
