About Historic Walking Tour of San Miguel
English-speaking guides walk guests through San Miguel's glorious past, showing them the city center and its historic buildings and churches. The tour takes approximately two and one-half hours, covers a ten-block area and is mostly level walking. It is a definite "must" for any visitor to San Miguel! The Historical Walking Tour has been awarded TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence. Tours take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Groups meet in the Jardin across from the Parroquia at 9:45 AM and leave at 10:00 AM. Cost: 300 pesos. Your donation supports the work of Patronato Pro Ninos, a non-profit organization that has provided medical and dental care to children from the neediest families within our community and the outlying area since 1970. Revenue from the tours makes a substantial financial contribution to the organization. Additional information can be obtained from our website (See link on this page).

Yes, the docents seem to be mostly North American retirees with second residences there. Cash only, and it provides dental services for rural poor kids in the region.
