Its a part of Chnaderi Fort. Small Historical place. Photogenic. Good for Family Tours. But nothing too great.

A small monument dedicated to the moment when queen and other subordinate to her choose to burn themselves alive rather than get caught by the invading king army. Monument is just beside or at the back of the fort and will not take more than 5 minute to visit.

A monument to the brave women of Chanderi. Take a guide with you for the full story of this monument. It's located on the Chanderi Fort site, which a must-see in itself.

Chanderi was a famous Jain and Hindu town before the foreign invaders came and destroyed its Hindu-Jain heritage. The Chanderi of today is an Islamic town with every exquisite monument built during the Islamic era.

The Jauhar Monument is at the top of Fort Chanderi, commemorating the time when Babur invaded the place and about 600 Rajput women committed Jauhar, (suicide) by jumping in the big stony cauldron like place behind this monument. It is a poignant reminder of almost every heritage place in north India. One gets goosebumps by being there and thinking about the harrowing times that this place endured.

A historical pilgrimage for every traveler going to Chanderi.
