I visited Tulum for the first time this year after hearing that its a relief from the overcrowded resots in Cancun. After spending time on the beach and visiting some of the archeological sites, I decided to take a look around the town one evening. Haban cafe is a bit off the beaten path, away from the restaurants and clubs downtown, but worth the stroll. The mojitos are fantastic, and the roof deck scene is something else. The DJ played a range of Latin pop and salsa, while the crowd was good looking and diverse, with a mix of tourists like me, expats and locals. Everyone was just having a good time.

Great place to party with an open bar on the roof - cool crowd, live music and an amazing DJ.
