although we got off to a rough start with some miscommunication of departure time we met the group down in Muyil at the start of the trip. After a snack of chips and dips we head to the forest where our wonderful guide Cesar talks about history, wildlife, Mayan culture, ecology you name it. He was well versed and self... More

Sian Ka'an is a stunning nature preserve with blue lagoons miles across and a great variety of wildlife. This is not a slick tourist trip -- it is an intimate (6 people per boat) visit to a unique bio reserve. Community Tours is fabulous. Very responsive and flexible to work with and their staff are great. Our guide, Manuel, was... More

Started the day with a tasty Mayan snack. The tour was very well organised, nice pace, informative and varied. Walks through Mayan archeological sites, jungle broadwalks, boat rides over crystal clear lagoons and a totally unique float for 1 km down a crystal canal - amazing! All this followed by a delicious Mayan lunch. All the guides were very knowledgeable,... More

This tour was perfect it took all day , they picked us up at our place in akumal . Then they drove us to the nature reserve , we started with a light breakfast , then visited ruins . After this we had a great nature walk in a level path way . He pointed out important plants and trees... More

Omar was a knowledgable and caring guide, especially for one in our group of five who needed special assistance. Great value for the Mujil Forest and Float tour considering we were picked up and delivered back to Akumal (1/2 hr. away) from Tulum, fed a Mayan snack and lunch, had a guide, driver, van, boat and entry fees included. Don't... More

First I would like to thank OMAR for his knowledge of the area and singing Happy Birthday to my daughter Shannon 5 times, in English and even once in Spanish. She LOVED it. We did the forest and float trip and it was hot and full of biting insects in the forest, but we didn't care. Note to self MUST... More

We recently did the Muyil Forest and Float tour and it was amazing. We were a group of 4 people and our guide first showed us the Muyil ruins in the jungle and afterwards we went on a boat trip through the lagoons. This is so beautiful. We did some floating in the canals which is really fun and relaxing.... More

We weren't sure about this from the description, not really being tour types, but we wanted to see the Sian Kaan Biosphere without renting a car. We walked through the Muyil ruins, boated across a crystal clear lagoon, floated down a beautiful canal through the mangroves, and ended with a delicious traditional Mayan lunch at the community center. It was... More

We did the Ancient Canal tour with my 3 year old toddler and 75 year old mother who-s afraid of water. It was overall a good way to see a very beautiful reserve, with every possible shade of turquoise you can imagine, and a stop at one of the most pristine, beautiful beaches I've seen. The float through the canal... More
