Great little shopping center for the resort people that don’t want to venture into town. They doubled in size in the last couple years. Prices are a little higher than on 5th Avenue but not unreasonable. We love the convenience since we always stay at...More

There was a nice variety of shops (clothing, jewlery, pharmacy, alcohol). There was also a great variety of restaurants, really enjoyed the one upstairs.

This location is great for shopping without having to wrestle with the cruise hoards, and elbow-to-elbow crowds on 5th Avenue. It is also located in the gated, secure community of Playacar so you can feel safe there.

Great location that gets better each time I visit. I'm sure that you can find better prices elsewhere but it's really handy if staying in PDC.

Stopped in at the Starbuck's at Plaza Playacar and met a very nice Canadian Couple. Shopping is fun there as well! Have a beer and browse the wares. You'll have a great break from the resort.

A shopping mall near the resorts with ready access to you the rich resort tourist people and no other shops till playa del Carmen. Which means they price too highly for what is on sale and think they can get away with it. Better deals...More

We love Plaza Playacar when we want to get out for a couple hours to shop. The prices are comparable or slightly higher than 5th Avenue but far less pushy. There's an awesome craft beer stand out front and the team there is awesome if...More

Grab Bahia is in Akumal so it's a little far. You'd have to take a cab. You're better off going into Playa if you're looking to shop. Plaza Playacar is pretty small.

Taxis are available at your hotel. I think it costs about 90 pesos to go downtown. You can also up the beach or walk on the sidewalk. Takes about 25 - 30 min. at a leisurely stroll.
