We toured four homes with my sister. What was particularly nice was that one was under construction and the other three very different. This is a way to see the great variety of architecture and styles that the homes of Merida have. Our introductions after lovely pastries and good coffee dealt with housing styles during different eras and also the... More

We came to the tour assuming the first half hour would be boring general info about homes and were excited for the premise of seeing how people live in Merida. Things turned out to be flipped around... Sorry introduction before the lecture from a staff member made the mention that expats move in and out of Merida all the time... More

We spent the morning on a wonderful walking home tour which was sponsored by the Merida English Library. Before the tour, our guide Brent gave an informative talk about the history of Merida and the homes. We visited four homes and were welcomed into each by the owners. Three of the fours homes we visited were for sale. The tour... More

Cathy gave the best info on the buildings and history of buildings. Made the rest of our trip more enjoyable through greater understanding.

I did the tour 3 times in December, and each time its amazing to see what's behind the doors. Each time was different, and each house is so interesting. Love going on the tours and will continue to do this on our next visit.

Great library. Nice patio. Would like to go to an event there sometime on another visit. It had a fair number of elderly American visitors when we were there. My only complaint is that when I emailed them ahead of my visit to ask about possible space to run a workshop - I got no reply.

This is such a lovely and welcoming place. It's one of my first stops when visiting Merida. I look forward to the house tours. It's a good way to keep up to date on design trends in the city.

If you're looking for ex-pats, you have come to the right place. I lived right across the street and the hours were kind of tight for me to even explore outside of my job hours. It had some good resources though like english-spanish conversation nights, books, internet, AC. You have to pay for the internet though even if you have... More

I took a house tour of four expat homes in the area. Very interesting and also interesting to talk to the people on the tour. I returned later for a lecture on using my ipad and iphone which was very informative.
