My wife reported on this in another review. Ecotours threw a pinch-hitter to cover our tour and failed to properly brief him on location of the cenotes we were supposed to visit. While a perfectly nice fellow, he floundered for two hours before we gave up. This tour was priced at $400 for the day - a full 40% more... More

Based on some wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor we booked a day trip for our family. We were promised a day of swimming in two beautiful and isolated cenotes with a break in between to eat lunch at an old fashioned hacienda. We were so excited! Unfortunately, our tour guide had no idea how to get to the cenotes. He... More

We went on the mayan tour and were accompanied with a guide that knew a lot about the mayan culture and anything related to the Yucatan Peninsula, and an interpret that was translating everything for us in French. Very nice people. They arrived ponctual and took us to 2 sink holes awesome. It was amazing the reflection of light on... More

As prearranged, our driver Luis picked us up at the door very promptly. We had a pleasant drive to our first cenote, going throught the impressive cemetery as an "extra", with Luis providing informative commentary. The cenotes were off the beaten track, and we had an undisturbed and private experience at both of them. After visiting the two cenotes, we... More

My 23 year old nephew and I were visiting Merida for a week and wanted to spend a day exploring and swimming in the cenotes. At first we thought we'd just go by bus and explore but I am so glad we decided on Maya Ecotours. We found them in a guide book and called. Connie, the owner, answered and... More

We actually booked our vacation to Merida based on the fantastic reviews we read about Connie and the staff at MayanEcoTours, and we were not disappointed! We spent a wonderful day with Orlando on the Kayak tour, but the Rappel tour was the highlight of (and main reason for) our trip. The cenote was amazing, the Hacienda we ate at... More

Our family of four took the Rappeling/Cave tour one day in December 2010. We booked in advance through email with Connie; booking was easy & she responded quickly to our queries. The tour was quite expensive - 3600 pesos for 4 people - but the positive reviews here sold us. (The price did not include pickup at our hotel outside... More

Mayan Ecotours is by far one of the best tour operators in Merida. Connie gave me very personalized service and Cenotes she took me to very absolutely beautiful. At no time did I feel rushed and all my questions were answered with a great deal of knowledge.

I was with my family in Merida for only a short week, and we booked a trip every day with Mayan Ecotours. They are the best! The guide, Nacho, had so much to tell about the mayan life, but also about nature, you can definately tell he loves being outdoors. We did the Mayan life tour, the Puuc Route, kayak... More
