About
The most wonderful thing about Playa Palancar is that it feels like a private beach. It is quieter than most beaches in Cozumel and presents both a great diversity of activities and a peaceful environment. Order a Margarita in one of the beach bars...more

We used to love this place. Good food, great views and strong drinks. But that was several years ago. We visited this Cozumel trip and were very disappointed. They now charge for chairs/table on the beach.... Which I wouldn't mind if it came off the...More

Tasty lunch and drinks in outdoor restaurant right on the beach. Wear swim suit and flip flops to fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and beach activities. Good for families as well as couples.

I have dived with Aldora divers several times now and most recently last week. They often stop here for their surface intervals between dives. There is a very nice beach area here with plenty of chairs. The restroom facilities were clean and functioning. We had...More

I researched beaches in Cozumel and Palancar was recommended as a beach that one could reach without the benefit of a high priced excursion purchased from a cruise line. One could get a local experience at a reasonable price. The beach is about a 20...More

Stopped by Palancar Beach this week for the second time - first was once last year. No entry fee so that was good. Had a chicken quesadilla, fries, and fish tacos. Food was okay but we weren’t interested enough to eat much of any of...More

Ever since snorkeling at Columbia, Palancar and Cielo a few years ago in an expensive, time-consuming package deal from downtown, I have wanted to find a fast, economical way to return to the wonders of Columbia Reef. Playa Palancar was the answer I was looking...More

Went to Playa Palancar to have a day of snorkling from the beach, as it was not so windy at that location. however the beach and water was full of seaweed and useless for both snorkling and swimming, so we left after a short time.

We didn’t do the snorkel tour, but I think it’s only about an hour and a half so that doesn’t seem like enough time to also go to El Cielo. Probably need to ask the club directly or maybe as a separate question on the forum... More
