During our tour of Cozumel island, we enjoyed several stops on the East side, also known as the windward or wild side. These areas are a world away from the hustle and bustle of the port and the tourist areas and shows a side of...More

We strongly recommend a trip to the "wild side" to find some nature. It was a good break from the crowds and touristy areas. We rented a scooter for the day which I would recommend only if you have experience as it was a little...More

The east side is definitely something to see. Totally different landscape than the calm waters on the west side. El Mirador was a great stop on our tour!

A quick stop for a beer and some beautiful scenery. Jagged rock outcrops and waves crashing over them...cool place to see.

Just a lovely place to stop and see the ocean crashing in. Interestingly Cozumel is only 15% developed. The rest of the island is preserved in it's natural state. Nice to see.

This is my favorite beach to stop and explore. The rock/coral formations offer great views but are hard to walk on - wearing tennis shoes makes it easier. Not good for younger kids on the rocks, but still lots for them to explore. Nice little...More

Biggest recommendation - if you are going to climb on the rock formations, wear good shoes! These holes are huge and can swallow your foot very easily. Great photo ops and the view is just breathtaking.

We stopped here for the water. The beach is not a pretty white sand beach, but the water is so pretty and the pools left behind when the waves hit the rocks are wonderful for swimming. We also had lunch near here which was reasonably...More

This was the second stop on the Mayan Ruin, Beach and Chocolate tasting tour. It was 15-20 minutes, which gave enough time to walk to the limestone areas and take photos. There are two limestone arches, the one to the right having the Mexican flag...More

Stopped here on our round the island tour. There is a small reef between the ocean and shore. Lots of tourists on the beach. Waves were spectacular to watch.

There was no free WiFi here but I was still able to use data. Just check with your phone provider though. There was free WiFi at the Port though.

We set it up on line a few months before we went. We met outside the port at a designated spot. Then we went where we thought would be cool and took suggestions from our driver
