Ramon is an incredible dive master. Very friendly, speaks good English, and is willing to teach anyone to dive or take certified divers to some of the best areas around Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen. Feel confident in scheduling a dive with Ramon and his crew.

Since I have been living here I like to do shore dives so decided to try out a shore dive at Chankanaab. I rented tanks and weights since I have my own gear but had to carry it a long since their booth is at the end of the park. I was greeted by Manual who was nice, showed my... More

My partner and I were to dive with Ramon. We travelled to Cozumel for this sole purpose. Unfortunately by the time we found out he wasn't turning up, it was too late in the day to organise a dive through another company. We needed to leave the following morning so have wasted $ on a hotel and a ferry. Ramon,... More

Whenever I’m in Cozumel, I come to the Chankanaab Park to spend the day with my wife. We sit on the beach under a palapa, enjoy fish tacos from Victor (who remembers us year after year) from the nearby restaurant, and I do a walk-in dive with the fine folks at Zapata dive and snorkel. They are conveniently located right... More

My wife and I did a 55 minute beach dive at Chankanaab Park with Zapata Divers. It was as good as any of the boat dives I did that week. We saw an eagle ray, many smaller rays, barracuda, lobsters, grouper, huge parrotfish and angel fish. The best part was going through the cave. The dive master was great. Well... More

While in Cozumel, my partner and I were looking to do a refresher dive as we hadn't dove in several years. A fellow guest at our hotel introduced us to Ramon and we were diving the following day. It was a wonderful experience. Ramon and his staff were extremely friendly and personable and we knew right away we were in... More

Chankanaab is just a $12 taxi ride from the international cruise terminal and admission to the park cost us about $65 for four. I chose this location so that my wife and kids could enjoy themselves while I went off diving and Chankanaab is perfect for that. My kids played in the beautiful sand while my wife relaxed in a... We did a shore dive with Zapata diving off the beach at Chankanaab Park and had a great time. Entry and exit were easy and we enjoyed a 46 minute dive guided by a dive master. We have had many boat dives in Cozumel, but this was our first shore dive. Lots to see in the shallows. A new experience... More

Wow!! I was left speachless! Ramon - Such a nice kind man! He has tons of patience, great teaching skills and he is super-responsible! We took a three hour discovery dive which was perfect for a first timers: You spend an hour practice at the pool with all the gear getting to know it all, then you head out to... More
