This reef system is a huge No Harvest Eco park that is some place you definitely should put on your bucket list. I'm 63, been diving since 1984. Prettiest Coral Reef, chock full of fishes I have had the opportunity to dive.

Another great dive site in Cozumel. There are so many to choose from! But you will never be disappointed at the San Francisco reef.

San Francisco has so many pretty reef formations and colors. The current wasn't much both days we dove it. Always a good dive!

I love the dive on San Francisco reef. It did have some current at times, but normal for a drift dive. As always, plenty of wildlife to see.

For 8-days Tropical Storm Claudette limited our excursions :- ( but the few times we got underwater were AWESOME!

We did a discover scuba dive here while the others on our boat did the actual wall. But, there's plenty of coral and fish to see here before you go over the wall.

We seen a large crab, plenty of trigger and filefish, angelfish, schools of fish, parrotfish, stingrays, cowfish, starfish, trunk fish, schools of horse eyed jacks are among some of the things we spotted. But most of all...there was a LARGE spotted eagle ray! There's tons of beautiful coral to see as well. We were having some issues with the color in our camera and I believe the settings were off, so the pictures didn't turn out as good as mine normally do and I would not find this out until after I got back home to look at them.

I do have to say that this area had a bad current when we were there and being a discover scuba diver, we did struggle somewhat. It wanted to carry us sideways as we drifted along and we were constantly trying to correct ourselves, which made it hard to enjoy the dive that day. We have done many DSD over the years (at least 3x a year we do one) so not our first time diving and this was one of the hardest dives for us so far.

How can I compare these reefs to anywhere else in the world? The Cozumel reefs at the are some of the most fantastic and diverse anywhere!

I have to say that this reef is always a disappointment. There is little in the way of pretty. There is virtually no sea life. There are few sponges. I guess to sum it up there are too many divers.

What a great dive to explore on a rebreather. Lots of fish life and a very healthy reef to explore. Great water to dive.

Yes, it was. Although diving Cozumel is more of a feature reef than a fish tank, there are always surprises.
