We went to.this site recently. It was a great wall drift dive but as we found out not for novice divers. Two inexperienced dives had enough problems and ended up calling their dive after 5 minutes. The rest of us carried on and were rewarded by seeing a leather back turtle towards the end.

Punta Tunich is a beautiful wall dive. The current was moderate to strong but it was an effortless drift dive down to about 80 feet. Once on the bottom at about 60 feet, you look over the wall and it was absolutely beautiful! I was hoping to see turtles or rays during the dive but we had to settle for... More

Tunich is a great drift dive and you can keep your depth to less than 50 or 60 feet and make this a long dive. I always find Turtle and Nurse sharks and when they are in we find Eagle Rays. You will see a Green Morray or two along the way and it is a very great last dive... More

I have been to this dive site many times and love it!! The current is great and you feel like you are flying at times. Saw, turtles, spotted drum fish, green moray eel, large parrot fish, you name it.
