A visit to Cozumel should include a visit to Faro Celerain Ecological Reserve, the largest on the island. Located at Punta Sur, there is a lighthouse, museum, rest area with hammocks, bar, souvenir shops, incredible surf and a lovely coastal breeze. We were in a group tour that did not include a visit to the mangroves, lagoons and reef systems... More

Unless you want to climb up to the top of the lighthouse, it is a waste of money to tour this park. There is a great bar next door that has a great view and ice cold beer. You can enjoy the beach, swim, and take in the same sights there for no admittance fee. You only have to pay... More

We visited here as part of our private jeep tour with a few hours in Cozumel. It was fascinating to hear the history of the Mayan Lighthouse at the site .We stopped off at the navigation museum and took a few photos around the area but due to time constraints we chose not to walk up the modern lighthouse steps... We visited as part of a jeep tour around the island. There was a crew working on the dock at the lagoon so the crocodiles had disappeared. We were told that when it is quiet you can see up to 50 crocs. We did not have much time for the museum but the climb up the lighthouse was worth the... More

We drove along the coast and through the park, breath taking views. We were on a coach tour so only had a short stop.

If you want to get away from the downtown trip and get into nature this is a great escape. Great view from top of the lighthouse. Make sure you snorkel out to the white buoy, there is a great reef there covered with sea fans, worth the extra swim. You definitely don't need a jeep to get out there, the... More

This is a great place to go for an afternoon. We started by taking the half hour boat tour of the Columbia Lagoon. This is brackish water that is home to flamingos, herons, spoonbills and crocodiles. We saw all of these and heard a great explanation of the ecology by our guide and boat captain. The tour is free and... More

Pretty location. Good bargain. The boat trip to see the crocs is very good. Nice beach and swimming - snorkeling just ok.
