When my spouse signed us up for the cooking class as a shore excursion on an Oceania cruise, I thought, "Beans and rice, oh boy! Well, at least I can spend some time on the beach when it is over." I was wrong! The class was a lot of fun. We made a shrimp appetizer, fish entree, and fried plantains... More

Tons to do. Most is included in excursion cost but food and drinks. The nachos and quacamole was great. Beach is awesome. Free sailing, kayacks, beach chairs, and pool. Highly recommended. Try a dirty monkey drink. Service staff were super friendly.

We went here during a cruise port stop. Someone in our group had gone to Mr Sanchos on a previous visit, but they were closed the day we were in port. Said the food, alcohol and service were much better at Mr Sanchos for the same price. The beach was good and a couple of things on buffet were good,... More

We were on the Oasis of the Seas, Christmas cruise with our extended family. Five of us went to Playa Mia for the day. I had signed up for the Mexican Cooking class and the rest of our group; my wife, her sister, and our teenage children were doing the beach break. We all had the same transportation, a bus... More

We had a great time at the Playa Mia. The food, kids pool/slide area, and beach "juggle gym" areas were fantastic. We truly wished we could have stayed longer. There was something fun for everyone in our group...grandparents, parents and kids (3-14 years old). This was a last minute cruise excursion. We did find out later a cab to the... More

What a great adventure, first a little cooking class to cook your lunch, then time for the beach. Don't miss this one!

The noise and crowds were overwhelming. My teens checked out the salt water beach water park, but it was so crowded and rough they had to come in. The water slides were very slow..we had to push ourselves down. Save your money, and choose a less populated beach.

After a week at sea on a cruise, we were ready for a rest. This was the perfect place to relax. We bought the "all-in" deal. They kept the drinks flowing, the kiddo played all day (there is a fantastic kid-sized water park, there were pedal boats, a water jungle gym of sorts) and the food was really better than... More
