Carried by the fact it's Mexico, everything else meh
First we had to wait 20 minutes when we arrived because they couldn't find my reservation through Resort a day because they were reading off some printed list like it's 2005. Once we're in I'm looking at how to buy a locker, and it's setup in such a confusing way that to get the key for a locker is far away by the beach? What logic is that? Next we go to the water bikes and nearly get stuck in the deep water with no help because wind was blowing and they aren't looking for struggling riders. Luckily a nice person swam over to help me and my 11 year old daughter get back to shore where they REPRIMANDED him like wtf?? The margaritas and Pina coladas are iced down to the Nth degree making them yuck. Beers come warm if you're at the beach. Only upsides to this place is their pool by the kids area and slights and their buffet is decent. Not worth $75 in my opinion and I won't be coming back.

Change in plans cost us more for Playa Mia
Its they place we go anytime that we go to Cozumel, we normally know in advance, and the pricing is much better than stopping in without early reservation (30% more) Water is always great at the beach, and the pool areas are a great place to relax later in the day. WE dont really drink that much, so buying an all-inclusive is not really a need, but you will have less personal attention with the blue arm band over the pink one. It was just us making a change in plans, and going there left a little bad taste in our mouth...but it wont stop us from going back,,

    Nice Beach Day
Very nice but wasn’t quite what we expected and missed the mark. Purchased as a cruise excursion and reviewed the resort website prior to purchasing. None of the resort attractions were available, drinks and food weren’t that great. Beach was ok but note you won’t find clear waters. They don’t provide beach towels. Sand was clean. Pool was clean. Pretty scenery. Overall it was an ok beach day and my kids had a great time. I will shout out the on beach massage team. They were phenomenal. Great experience and loved my Oceanside massage!

Mexican Cuisine cooking class and beach time
We almost passed on this excursion through Holland and I’m so happy we chose this fun activity. It was an absolute blast. The chefs and assistants were superb…yay for Moises, Angel and Edgar! They were all extraordinarily amazing…super fun and informative. The food was exceptional even if I did cook it. lol You have an open bar and get to enjoy all of the amenities after your cooking class and lunch. We would do it again. Do not hesitate to join in on the fun! You will not regret it.

Pre booked a day for 4 adults and a under 2 which docked in Cozumel. Easy taxi ride away from the port. The place is beautiful and we bought the top package so have everything included including the cabana-we paid additional for that. Because all was included and we paid in advance we only took small cash for souvenirs as most places now are contactless.
On arrival we were given our purple wristbands and directed to the place to get towels, snorkels and our cabana. This is where it started to go wrong. Despite paying upfront over £400 we were now told we needed a deposit for everything including the cabanas and it had to be cash the deposits were also ridiculously high, $60 for 2 cabanas. Now because we had paid and nowhere did it mention deposits we did not have enough cash for deposits for snorkels, cabanas, towels etc. after a heated discussion with the attendant we were finally allowed to leave ALL the cash we had bar $3 plus our state ID to be able to enjoy our day. We also had to request 3 times for the snorkels to be given over an hour despite being told they would be at the cabanas for us. This took way too long to sort out and it should be advertised that deposits are needed. The towels were awful and 2 ripped just by my 18 month old crawling on them so highly recommend taking your own.

The cabanas were nice and the kids area great. Undersea myan runins were nothing special unfortunately, but the water 'park' was good. Plenty of shaded seats by the kids area and a dipping pool with seats so that was great. Good selection of food and drinks were good. Try their own lemonade, amazing!

It was worth going however the attendant left a sour taste in our mouths. On visiting again we would just get the basics package and save the hassle of dealing with her and then pay for the drinks and food.

Booked the Beach Break excursion including drinks and food for our group of 6 - 4 adults, 2 children. We picked it as they had outstanding children's pools and slides etc. Imagine our surprise to find out that the entire children's side of the park was CLOSED !! Absolutely ridiculous that we weren't make aware of it before we arrived and they would not give us any refund at all !! We did book two casitas which was very nice, drinks and food were fine but beach was not clean or clear.

We made a last minute decision to get off the boat & go I to Cozumel. We asked at the taxi stand where to go & they recommended 3 or 4 beach clubs. We decided on this all-inclusive club. The beach we nice. Our package (about $165 for 2) included 2 beach chairs & an umbrella. The beach was clean & the water was pretty good. There was a point where you could feel seaweed on the bottom, but nothing the club can control. We also spent time in two of the pools. Neither oool was anything special, but they were clean & the water was cool. The lunch buffet was decent & the drinks were no joke. I had 3 1/2 drinks in 4 hours & they hit me hard!

We have visited Cozumel innumerable times for diving; however, this time we were on a cruise with family and just booked a "beach break" to Playa Mia. What a mistake. Our transfer amounted to a cramped school bus that had been painted bright colors. Entering Playa Mia was through a small strip mall sort of situation of typical tourist shops. The beach needs a major clean up and the crystal clear water that Cozumel is known for is well beyond the area where water toys are placed. We had an included (but inedible) lunch, although the included drinks were fine.

This was an outstanding excursion. The chef, Angel, was entertaining, friendly, funny and a great cook. We prepared our individual meals and ate as a group. Free drinks of choice during the meal prep, during lunch and afterwards at a very nice resort.

We really enjoyed the class. We learned a lot about tobacco, cigars, and how to have a great smoke. The folks holding the class were very accommodating and patient with us. This was almost like a cooking class. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed ourselves on our stay at this very nice beach. Our only complaint was the lack of umbrellas. The beach lounge chairs were also very hard plastic and not the most comfortable things to lay out on. The food was excellent (my daughter and I really liked our chicken and steak tacos, plus they gave us a nice portion of guacamole - a lot of places back home skimp on that). We paid a-la-carte and didn't get the all inclusive package. As it turned out, we didn't pay a whole lot less than we would have for the package, although that would have encouraged us to drink and eat too much, which we did enough of on the ship (the eating, anyway) so maybe that was a good thing. The service was very good as well (our waiter was named Carlos, I know, not exactly an uncommon name in Mexico)

There were plenty of lounge chairs, so nobody was left without one, and the beach didn't feel too crowded. Restroom facilities were good. They only had one of the two waterslides open, but probably because there weren't that many people using it (surprisingly we only had to wait behind 3-4 other people at most, and we came in on a large cruise ship excursion, so we thought the lines would be a lot longer). I had a little trouble getting stuck on the slide, maybe it needed to be a little steeper, or have more water, but some others didn't seem to have as much trouble as I did (and no, I am not a big person). The water temperature on the slide was perfect though.

They had some nice shaded areas to hang out in if you got too hot (see the white covered area in the photo, for example) and a nice pool. Unfortunately due to ocean conditions, they didn't have the inflatables out there that day.

The bus ride from the port was a little long (about 1/2 hr each way) but the buses that were provided were clean and comfortable.

A $30 taxi ride to arrive and find out the beach was closed so we could only use their pools which were run down, dirty & full of children. Our tickets were prepurchased so we went ahead. Wrong choice.

Out of all the beach resorts we've done in Cozumel, this one was just gross from the food- about as low quality as the the ships, maybe even less. If you're a hot dog and stale fry kind of family, you'll love this place . We felt it was a waste, terrible Service, watered down drinks. We won't return or recommend. Go to Sancho's for good food, service and a party atmosphere or Nachi for low key, calm relaxation.
