Fun But Few
Jan 2020
The regular admission does not include the thrill activities of jet boat and river rafting (gotta pay quite a bit extra for this). the jet boat is a good ride with nice canals to run and good opportunities for spins. The river raft was a good time. Some good drops, chat and fun, but a ridiculous amount of photo boxes. Seemed like every 10 seconds there was another photo and became quite annoying. Can't bring your own camera. ropes course has 4 levels of difficulty. It took a few hours to complete level 2. There are exit points, but plan for time and wearing all the gear and helmut is a sweaty mess. It takes a bit of time to get the gear and video. My trip had no lines, can't imagine the wait when it is busy. The fly coaster is OK, its not fast and the harness can chafe. I chose to not wear a shirt due to water activities. Monster trucks were just OK. It is a really neat idea and course has some nice challenges. The trucks have transmissions that don't allow for slow go, give gas to get going and your fast which is really rough. Would be much better if the transmissions were smooth. Plus gotta hold your arms on your chest belt or get yelled at. This position doesn't let you to use arms to help brace the body making it quite rough. Maybe i had a bad vehicle, but this was one and done for me and i'm not a wimp. If you do have back/neck issues, plan to be a long time going slow or skip this one. opted not to kayak. the refreshing water activity couldn't be done by adults due to it being kid land. Adults can walk in the water around the base, but can't do the slides. Buffet was par for the course. No soda options. Can buy a beer at the end of the day but your wristband is marked at which point can no longer do activities.

For what is a available only a few were worth the effort and the cost for those few is too high for value. If totally dig ropes and monster trucks this is for you. Jet boats are available at other Xcaret resorts and may be a better option. Xel Ha recommended for water lovers. The river raft was unique so this was the best activity IMO.

Staying in riviera maya, taxi from Vidanta Grand Mayan was $52 USD (690 pesos) plus tip, which is double the fare to playa del carmen and both are trips of equivalent distance. Baffling why higher cost. this would be more accessible if staying in Cancun as it is right by the airport.

10 days in Mexico

It is a great place to visit. You can chose from a number of activities and enjoy it. Our purpose was to see the great show of Mexican History. Very well organized; digitally impressive; colorful. You can go over the history of Mexico in 2 hours. I definitely recommend it. While you were there do not forget to have a look into their stores..specially book shop. They have good books about the country and culture.

Loved the adrenaline rush!

Awesome park. The activities were all a blast. My cousin who is 16 and I (18) both loved the ropes course and the Monster Trucks. The jet boats were a blast and we loved the ziplining. We've done Xplor too and loved that, but this was even better!

Serious Excitement
Mar 2020
We visited this park on the 2nd of March , This place is just fun fun fun , loads to do and not enough time to do it , first we went on the Puma which is an all terrain vehicle which you drive over a very bumpy and death defying course , going over and down hills you thought were impossible but in the end you come out alive , we did this twice and this alone made the trip worthwhile .then we went on the Hawk which is a flying attraction , they lay you in a bag and send you flying through the air , good fun but it was a short ride . Next we had the jet boat , great fun going really fast along the water inlets and then spinning around , similar attraction at Xcaret but this is much better The day also included lunch and unlimited drinks and snacks around the park which was really good as it means you don't have to take your wallet around with you .After lunch we did some kayaking and then we did the rope dash monkey assault course , this is where you are put in a harness and you have to walk along tyres and ropes and other obstacles whilst suspended very high above the ground , this did take a long time to complete , it was very hot and tiring and to be honest i was starting to flag by the end

Things to know
Feb 2020 • Family
We went with a large group of friends to Xavage and were very excited to visit. We booked for all 7 of our children ages 5-18. It was an awesome facility with such helpful, friendly staff. We just wanted to let people know of a few things that we were not told when we phoned and booked this excursion that would’ve been helpful.
1. 5 years of age is the minimum to come to the park and book all adventures but there is a minimum height requirement along with the age. If your child meets the age and the height restriction, they may go on all the adventures you paid for, however if they are 5 years of age and below 1 meter 20 cm they cannot go on all adventures.
2. Towels are not included.
3. When going on the Atv trek it is one licenced driver (at least 18 years of age) and only one passenger.
4.The buffet is quite a walk from the activities and it is inconvenient to get to it. It opens at 12:00. You must order pop when you get there as there are no self serve stations. The snack bar is closer but only serves pizza and mostly blended drinks that younger children won’t drink.
5. Pack closed in shoes for the rope walk. You can go with sandals but they easily fall off as you go climbing through. Good shoes are a must!

The venue itself is very fun for all ages! Just a few things to know before booking and going:)

Xcaret

A couple of years ago, we were at the Xcaret hotel, since it was practically next to the park. The day we visited the park was amazing, one day we swam with dolphins, which has been something super incredible, because I lasted at least an hour with these animals. Apart from that we swam in a cenote, and I also remember that you could swim with the sharks that were next to the dolphines, and at night we returned to see a show, in which they played a game of ball and the history of Moctezuma. The only thing that was a bit expensive was swimmming with the dolphins but as in any park this is an expensive attraction.
