Surrounded by hundreds of hotels motels resorts so gets busy but it is a large beach area and very pretty a few beach bars and other attractions on the beach so if you like more then just sun bathing it is a good place to be in the center of it all.

I'm not sure why anyone would elect to spend time on this beach give the amazing choices in the vicinity. The beach is small, not that nice and smelled like sewer/garbage when I checked it out.

A place that contrasts somewhat with the style that manages the area. Being close to C.U. you get used to seeing little places with breakfast or lunch and then runs obvious when there is a place that although itself is visited by students, is not directed to them strictly. Let's start by saying that seafood is never cheap and if... More

Even if you haven't booked a tour leaving from Playa Linda, go for a visit. Rent a wave runner, look at the ships, have a cool drink at Capt. Hooks, heck, even smoke a Cuban cigar. If you have little children, the beach on the Gulf side is really calm, no waves. Take the kiddies in for a soak and... More

Most of the hotels along this area of the beach are either private or very quiet, it is closer to town and further from the airport but the quiet and easy access to all the normally expected facilities is just a bus ride away. You are at KM 3.5 of Kukulcan Boulevard, so if you know your directions you will... More

We visited this beach in 1986 when the area was just starting to get tourists. Everyone back then was going to Acapulco and Cancun was brand new. The place was pristine then and literally paradise--- gorgeous water and sugar sand. I don't know if time has tarnished it. We loved going by tour boat to Isla Muheres so much that... More

Beautiful water colors during daytime. Water is not deep until you get to boat section which is a big stretch. Water is very warm and calm. No tides. Perfect for kids. You cannot go to Cancun and not visit this beach. Picture worthy. It's hard to get too because you have to go through one of the hotels in front... More
