Beautiful cenote! Cenote Cristal is on the east side of the main road. That is where you pay to visit this cenote and cenote Escondido if you wish to see both. We did Cristal first. Some people had complained of algae in the water. There is definitely more plant life around the cenote so there is a little algae that forms on the shoreline and can work its way around the cenote but it did not discourage us. It was not enough to make a difference in the water was crystal clear. They had a couple rope swings and a platform to jump off of. Saw a couple of fish in there as well. Would highly recommend. We then crossed the street via car and drove down to cenote Escondido. Crystal clear water surrounded by lush greenery. Cliffs and rope swings to jump off of. Scuba divers go cave diving there as well. Had an excellent day at both cenote’s and would recommend. Not too crowded.

We loved this crystal clear open cenote! We came in the morning and there were only a handful of people. My kids had a blast jumping off the platform and relaxing in the hammocks. No life jackets, minimal facilities. You can pay for just this cenote or a combo ticket with Escondido, which is across the street. You can only buy tickets at this location, though. So if you only want Escondido, you still have to stop in at Cristal to buy your ticket before crossing the street.

Such a refreshing, clean natural water "hole". Beautiful nature to enjoy. Path to the far side for a fun platform jump. Buoyed rope to hang on if you get tired swimming and exploring. Another amazing cenote!

Yeh it’s not picturesque and the water isn’t crystal clear like a lot of other cenotes, but Cenote Cristal is FUN! We could of spent all day there, jumping in! We got there reasonably early, after cycling from Tulum which was easy and again, good fun. It’s really cheap entry and you get entry to both cenotes, Cristal and Escondido across the road, if you have a bike or car I’d recommend using them to get to Escondido as it’s a bit of a walk away. Neither were overly busy when we were there which was a bonus. Would definitely go back to this one.

We went there after a long hot day to relax. Very nice enviroment with a tall jumping platform. Lots of fish at the bottom. Very clear water with lots of entrances. Overall, a very relaxing, peaceful enviroment.

we were first to arrive and THAT was great.. we saw many fish, and a lone handsome Tortuga (size of a small dinner plate), and too a bright-red-footed rail (bird). the entry stairs into the water are wide and safe and the leaping tower also feels very safe/secure. great for a PLUNGE.

Parking is free and the fee for the cenote is ok. The water is refreshing but even more fun is the high platform to jump from. We left our stuff on a bench as there were no lockers but it was pretty quiet so we didn’t worry at all. You can’t bring a beer and sunbathing is hard as you can never use suncreams (or repellent). One of my favorite cenotes for sure!

Visited Cenote Cristal y Escondido with family. Since they are not so popular, they were not very crowded - there were 10 people maximum. Cristal has a 10ft diving platform and Escondido has tons of fish and a swing you hold on then let go. They are small but tons of fun, especially for kids.

It's a nice place to go for a swim and jump from the cliff, though for us it seemed to be too crowded. We just had a look at the beautiful cenote and left.

This cenote has a diving platform and is very refreshing however has a bit of algae floating around which doesn't make you feel great about the water quality.
