Seeing the Voladores is an unique experience. You can't miss it if you travel to Veracruz. El Tajin is a majestuous place and is full with history...there's so much to see!

The flyers of Papantla are a representation of what is believed was part of a ceremony, the people from Tajin are known as the people of wind, it requires a lot of skills to participate in this representation.

Stopped in Papantla otw to Tajin. Charming town, interesting mural. Flyers performance just a small piece of the bigger picture. Don't hang around just to see it. It's done also at Tajin.

We saw this show by the pyramids at El Tajin, and again in the city of Papantla near the church in the zocalo. They put on an amazing show, and we were impressed by how gracefully they performed this dangerous and historic ceremony.

An historic ritual performance that is best viewed after a trip to El Tajin and reading about the historical significance. Beautiful to watch.

This is one of the more amazing things we experienced during our trip to the Veracruz region. Having 4 men launching themselves down, tied to a rope and twirling upside down to the music of a flute played by a 5th man dancing on top...More
