Would of been much better if there was also an English speaking guide. So much was to learn but didn’t understand a single thing. Tour bus was $50 and entrance to the fort was $60.
Again wish there was an up charge to also have...More

We don’t usually do this visits with a tour but this one was worth it. If not you will only see stone walls and won’t get the story behind. It is not expensive. Excellent photo opportunities. Bring a bottle of water as it will be...More

Our second trip to Veracruz and we decided to go to San Juan de Ulua this time.

Old fort with great views and even more foto opps, not expensive and they have guided tours, very interesting. fun, but take water or you will die, water is for sale at the entrance, but nowhere inside!

The best and fastest is to ask your hotel front desk. Alternatively, visit the Veracruz Tourist Office ( google it in advance for location and opening hours ) - there should be NO problem in finding an English-speaking tour guide. Good luck and enjoy ! And, while in Veracruz, take a cab to Boca del Rio and enjoy the restaurant Villa Rica, a delicious place ! maybe a bit expensive, but it is 100% worth it.
