Such an abundance of wonderful flowers and arrangements, plus so much more at this market. Walk through and enjoy the sights and smells, then exit on Avenida Guillermo Prieto to see the gorgeous murals along the side.

So many things to look at and so little time. You could eat every meal there every day and always get something different. This is in addition to all the wares and clothes and groceries, the cremeria, the piñatas, the meat, so much to see!

What a unique market!

Mercado Jamaica is most well known as being a flower market. It was cool seeing the hustle and bustle of all the various flowers being sold. There are also stalls selling produce, meat, dried goods, sweets, snacks, and household items (I didn't see any souvenir knick knacks being sold though.

We arrived shortly before 10 am on a Friday to avoid any potential crowds, and it seemed to work. We walked around for about 45 minutes and ended up buying some candies to bring home. I did wish they had stalls selling hot food (like tacos, etc.) but I didn't see any.

Worth visiting if you have time!

Visiting marketplaces is one of my favorite things to do. This market is exquisite. The sites, sounds, aromas and variety of produce and products is a delight.

The smell of flowers here is overwhelming and the variety is extraordinary most produced within Mexico. Fruit here is terrific too and the market is not too crowded so you can make your way round very comfortably.

We came here with our guide and this is the right place to begin an introduction to Mexican culture. Wide variety of food, groceries, useful tools/utensils for home, craft, etc. We learned about corn, chili, mole, etc..

We really enjoyed our visit to the Jamaica Market. The flower area smells so good! It's not chaotic like some of the other markets in town, and it has a great variety of flowers, food, and merchandise. The fruit stands are amazing, and we had an excellent green chorizo taco.
