I've read a few reviews that say unless you are catholic don't bother visiting but actually there was enough to see for sure even if you are not. Firstly we got a taxi here and back even though you could get the super cheap subway. (taxi is cheap also) There are the old and new churches as well as other... More

Great history with interesting architecture, however it was slightly lost on me as I am not religious.

You can really see the faith of the people in the church. We went towards the end of November and people were already gearing up for Dec 12th and there were processions. But most interesting was how some people were walking all the way to the church on their knees!

Large modern church with a large marble altar, with a devoted following attending Mass and praying for world peace. Worth a look in for believers andnon believers alike.

We went to the Basilica and really saw and confirmed the beauty of our Catholic faith. Took my 2 daughters and had a nice visit to our Lady of Guadalupe. It's very safe on premises. Many police offices as well in the surroundings so the visit is worth.

The most important place for Catholics of the Americas. Visited here for about 6 hours with the family, from 10 year old don to 90 year old mom. They have a wonderful tour of the church, surrounding gardens and of course of the church both old and new. Highly recommend visiting! Wonderful store shop to buy sacramentals that you will... More

It's a famous place and worth a visit. Don't come around December 12 though since it is packed then.

Great time! Had the privilege of visiting this special place. Took my kids and they saw the beauty and meaning of faith. We only spend two hours but it was worth it. This is a tourist destination so if your wondering if it's safe, yes! Once inside it is, there are patrol officers all over. Just keep your belongings with... More
