The monument itself is nice but not worth seeing in itself, but it is part of Paseo de la Reforma which is a great street for strolling and people watching in the late afternoon, say between 16.00and 19.00

El Angel was built as a monument to the memories of the heroes of the Mexican Independence from Espana. It occupies prime real estate on the Paseo de Reforma in the Zona Rosa. Most tours will include a visit to this memorial.

This is an iconic monument in CDMX along with Torre Latinoamericana. It sways during earthquakes but always standing tall. (actually it fell in July 1957). It gives that monumentality that great cities have.
