This hotel is one of the grand hotels of Mexico City. Built around the turn of the last century the hotel is completely renovated and very comfortable. The loby is great. It is a museum reflecting on all of the many famous people who have stayed here. They serve an excellent breakfast to get your day off to a good... More

We went into the lobby to have a look at the incredible Tiffany domed roof. It is beautiful inside and definitely worth seeing. Our guide told us it costs about $2000 pesos per night which seems very reasonable for such a beautiful hotel. They have gorgeous birds too in gold cages. The Porter was friendly and chatty.

Beautiful building with elegant terrace restaurant. The buffet on Sat. and Sun. is the best option to enjoy the Main Square or Zocalo, one the biggest open squares in America (the Continent). there are good choices in the buffet, from Mexian spicy dishes to American pancakes and French patisserie, with delicioius fresh fruit and juices.

The Gran Hotel is worth it just to see the inside of this beautiful hotel. The food is fantastic. They have windows that overlook the plaza so you can see the everyday-life of the city. They have a great breakfast complete with coffee, juice, basket of pastries, fresh fruit and whatever special dish you want for your main dish. The... More

Nice to sit here and get a glas of wine. You feel you are in Mexico and you look out to the huge placa. The wine is very good and you also pay for it:)

Whilst we weren't fortunate enough to stay here we did make use of there roof terrace to watch the daylight fade whilst sipping mojitos and mango margaritas. The staff are incredibly polite and attentive without being pushy. It is worth visiting just to see the ceiling and the wrought iron work.

I have nevery stayed at the hotel but I have tried the breakfast and lunch. I do recomend the mezanine, not the terrace. It feels more clasic and I feel a better service, little more cozy. However don´t hesitate to go to the terrace for a couple of drinks and the view.
