Unfortunately, only managed to see this place on a Monday - All museums/exhibitions tend to be closed on a Monday. Turned up early and it was all shut. Disappointed to find out it was shut on Mondays. So took a few photos around the building. Very nice architecture and looked very grand. Walked past it later on in the day... More

I am not really into art, I came for my friend who had to see it. The entrance fee is cheap so sure give it a look. The architecture alone is worth seeing. We did not spend much time walking around. My advice, unless you are a die hard art fan then you can probably get away without taking the... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the richness of this art deco interior, which offered a great frame for murals by Diego Rivera and others

One of the most beautiful buildings both inside and out. The rotating exhibits are always a must as well.

The exterior is absolutely beautiful. Must see. I also saw the exposition, which was nice, but not amazing in my opinion.

Big beautiful old marble building with wonderful acoustics. Check out the Tiffany glass curtain. great place to hear a concert or see the ballet folklorico which shows some of the culture of Mexico in music and dance.

From music to art, this place is beautiful. Adding to the attraction, there's a nice park right next to it with statues and fountains. The interior is stunning.

One of the most beautiful places in Mexico city. The Palacio de Bellas Artes is "The" venue for the performing arts. Built turn of the 20th century and commissioned by President Porfirio Diaz, this is a unique building in some many ways. From it's Italian white slabs to the fact that is the only building you can admire from all... More

I'm not sure if the exhibition rooms are supposed to be included in the cost of admission, but they were all closed. The artwork on the walls was great, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price if that's all you get to see. Also, the "museum" on the top floor is not really a museum. It looks like... More

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
